Yeah...yeah! Special kind of stupid for a night owl to make a MORNING appointment! LOL!

I checked ‘em all day....kind of boring. No one at either of the Decorah nests, the eaglets were in food comas on both the FL nests and lots of egg sitting in GA. Glad you were able to see the bands on the Latvian eagles. They are so darn gorgeous!

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

COLE PORTER

YOU NEVER KNOW

BOBBY SHORT: “AT LONG LAST LOVE”

This 1958 recording from Ahmet Ertegun’s Atlantic label shows Bobby at the beginning of his career before his Café Carlyle years. Bobby was a genius at the piano.

I’ll admit I had to laugh last night when you said you had an appointment in the morning. That’s ok. You’re still new to this retirement thing and you’ll learn quickly enough. LOL

Roll back da videos. :-) There was a bit of action at the NEFL nest. I assume it was E16 standing since it’s the older one. Still wobbly but doing a decent job of standing. AND eating a little bit of fish all by itself.

There’ll be action at the Berry nest soon enough. Never much to see during brooding.

Once I realized the Latvian eagles had bands, I rolled back the video to get scaps of both sets of them. Bands make things a lot easier to ID them by than having to look for tiny differences in feather markings or colors. But I’ve gotten pretty good at that, too, over the years with the birds that aren’t banded.
I prefer easier. :-)
