Donald Trump just put to rest the idea he will ever back down (that would be why we voted for him)

Donald Trump took questions from the media Wednesday for the first time since he was elected president on Nov. 8. And he quickly put to rest the idea that his rapidly approaching presidency would fundamentally change his tone, style or basic approach to issues and the media.

Consider:

Trump — through a lawyer — said he would not put his assets in a blind trust, the traditional way in which presidents wall off their private interests from their public obligations. Trump was also quick to note that as president it is impossible for him to, legally speaking, have a conflict of interest and, therefore, any steps he takes to separate his business interests from his presidency were above and beyond the call of duty. (This was a similar line of logic used by Trump's lawyer to explain how he would deal with the Emoluments clause.)

Trump refused to offer a timetable for the release of his tax returns. He insisted that the only people who care about his tax returns are reporters. (Not true!) As evidence that no one cares about his tax returns, Trump offered this: “I won.”

Given the chance to condemn Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump did not. Instead, he said it was an “asset” that Putin allegedly likes him. When asked directly about the Russian hacking of the election, Trump acknowledged it was probably Russia — which is further than he has gone before — but quickly pivoted to emphasize that Putin wouldn't be doing these sorts of things under a Trump administration.

I recall well the Nixon era and the issues driving the press's enmity. There is no parallel to the dawning Trump era. Nixon was almost constantly on the defensive. Trump takes the battle to their own whorehouse doorsteps and bashes in the door.

That part of the press report was absolutely epic. It will be replayed for years and years. CNN will never ever live it down.

Absolutely amazing.

Jeb Bush: I hope Melania takes Trump’s phone away

Jeb only said that, because in his beta male life, that's what women do to him.

Can’t wait til he finally does release his tax returns and there will be nothing to report on.

And the entire left-o-sphere will then act as though they were never even interested.

There will be no apologies, no honest self reflection, and no admission that they desperately wanted to find something dirty on him.

The media continues to flail and fulminate with their obvious "fake news" and it does them no good whatsoever.

There is a huge upside to all this for DJT and America. Rush touched on it yesterday. For almost two years they have been throwing everything at DJT including the kitchen sink. Nothing has stuck and he won the election. As a matter of fact a curious thing happened. With every attack DJT grew stronger and the media grew weaker through the loss of their own credibility.

Having run out of ammunition the media is now resorting to disseminating made up garbage. Once again DJT gets stronger as CNN, Buzzfeed et al lose credibility. DJT is virtually inoculated now against this garbage and the media is on the ropes.

....Donald Trump took questions from the media Wednesday for the first time since he was elected president on Nov. 8...

The media is so dishonest.

Donald answered the media’s questions right around the time Israel got hammered at the UN, just before New Year’s

I will never forget Don King having the first and last word. Trump looked like he was very relaxed and having the time of his life
