Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) had many “anxieties” and “fears” about Sen. Jeff Sessions’ (R-AL) nomination to attorney general, she said in her opening statement during his confirmation hearing on Tuesday. Can he effectively “dispatch himself from President-elect Donald Trump and his record,” she wondered. In particular, Feinstein insisted that Sessions’ job does not include the prosecution of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who we all know abused her email use and put national security at risk. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump suggested that he was going to hire a special prosecutor to “look into her situation.”
“An attorney general does not prosecute at direction of the president,” Feinstein said. Nor, she said, does he or she wear two hats – one as the president’s lawyer and one as the people’s lawyer.

Been listening whil;e I was on my Exercycle - Cruz was super. I got a kick out of the Dim who was trying to get him to pre-recuse himself from some possible upcoming cases - Sessions refused to bite and said he would have to have specific facts to determine whether there was a conflict of interest and would not do what the guy was trying to get him to do.
How about because nobody is above the law and “intent” doesn’t factor into it? How about because there is overwhelming evidence to support an indictment? How about because she put “the people” at extreme national risk (a lot of which we probably still don’t know), and because it IS his job to represent us as our lawyer? How about because a LARGE majority of the country would like to see her prosecuted?
Oh yes... she who is ranking member of the Senate Intel committee (of which mcCswine is a member and Richard Burr is chairman)— so is “privy” to the current bilge pushed to them by clapper et al and the obamaumao “meme” it’s the russians. Since it was the russians and commies the democrats have always enabled— and they stand a good chance of being put in the federal pen— for espionage. This is a current moving target, pre- and post inauguration and she/they are continuing the “russian meme” trying to foist this on the people, and de-legitimize everything from trump and his ardent supporter from Alabama— Sen. Sessions. The dems are in mortal fear (including obamaumao) and it involves ISIS creation, Benghazi and the operations to run guns— which will make iran-contra look like what it was (real executive anti-communist foreign policy.. and notably anti-Iranian terrorism).
Feinstein and her husband have been ripping off the united states for years and she knows if Hillary ends up going down she will drag all of them with her.
Special Prosecutor is the ‘death knell’ of justice.
I wouldn’t advise that.
Also, I would never promise to recuse myself from a case involving more corruption by one person than any other five people combined.

AG is not elected; AG is appointed by the President so it goes that the AG is an extension of the President. The President is the chief law enforcer in the land. The AG merely assists.

(check out her finances and her hubby especially, for starters....there’s been tons of smoke around that for years and years,,,see ..how much of this is accurate? it surely needs to be investgated...imho...

Sessions should have replied: “Rest assured, in regards to your fears that the Attorney Feneral not act as the attack dog or the bagman of the President, I will not act like my predecessor Eric Holder.”

In addition to being the President’s lawyer, she was also lawyer to the people....who happen to be labeled a special group, religion, or be of color. Christian white anglo-saxons need not apply.
Feinstein better keep her big trap shut, her hands and her husbands are not very clean, either.....................
Damn you Feinstein. We want the witch prosecuted and she deserves to be prosecuted. And Sessions can STILL appoint a special prosecutor and HE can prosecute the with.
Oh I look forward to that. I expect she has some “dead man” switches in place for just that purpose.
