After 573 weeks, starting our 12 year on the New Year Weekend, the DC Chapter is declaring VICTORY over the moonbats that formally stood opposite us. There has been a single moonbats for several years, occasionally having support from her daughter. Since mid-October, she has been a no show. Weather has been good most weeks, but she has stood in inclement weather in the past. We can only conclude she has given up.
The DC Chapter is going to have a special FReep, Saturday, January 21,2017, the day after Trumps inauguration.
All FReepers in good standing are invited to join the DC Chapters VICTORY Party. The location is at the southwest corner of Georgia Ave, MD Rte. 97 and Olney-Laytonsville Road, MD Rte. 108 from 10AM till noon. The address to the shopping center at our corner is 3464 Onley-Laytonsville, Olney, MD. Park in front of the Popeyes.
As during our Walter Reed FReeps, we will have plenty of hot drinks, donuts, and man-made warming devices. New will be a warming shelter, courtesy of Lurker Bill. We will be having the Victory Party snow or cold.
Starting in February, we will be standing to Support Our Troops on two Saturdays a month. If the moonbats come back, we are ready to man the corner full time again.
A special thanks to the local American Legion, especially Post Commander Halsey, and our two WWII vets, numerous FReepers and Lurkers, our mole in the moonbats ranks, she knows who she is and we hope she can come, and for the last several years, Lurker Bill with his sound system, Lurker Jim with the Honor and Remember banner and flag, Fraxinus whos uncanny sense to show up when our ranks are not at full strength, Cindy-True-Support who travels almost an hour and a half to stand on the corner, and [Mrs] Trooprally for helping me week after week.
Please RSVP so I know how many donuts to buy.
[Mr} Trooprally for the DC Chapter
Yep, remember Maica well. Miss her also. She was a real trooper out there at WR.
You were an integral, but silent part of our successful rallies, our unsung hero. If you are feeling okay, hope you can make it.
Oorah. If I can find the picture, during the snowmegadan of 2010(?) we raised a flag onto a 10’ snow mound at our corner.
Thank you from the DC Chapter
That was an awful drive, but...I am eyeing the situation!
We would be happy to see you. Lots of supportive honks, waves and police siren whoops from passing cars.

Hi Trooprally! Will ping my Maryland and Virginia Freeper lists to help spread the event news. Sure many Freepers will join you if they possibly can as we Freepers across the nation love our Troops!
I would sure be there if I could as haven’t seen you all in a long time. James and I send hugs to you and your sweetheart!
Here is my Virginia Freeper ping to help spread the word. :)
Just realized I need to change my tag line because we NOW will have a Commander In Chief who WILL honor and support our Military!
Trooprally, God Bless You and the stalwart members of the DC Chapter!
Ooh Rah!
Hey POP - how are you doing. Its been a while. Glad to see you are still on FR. [MRS] T and I do not get on FR much - long story but not FR’s fault .
Ooh Rah back at you.
Yes, Trooprally, it has been a while.
I still have some contact with a couple Freepers who were there at the big D.C Gathering of Eagles. We are out here. Keep up the good work, my Gold Star brother.
With good friends as you, it is easier to do, even as we get older.

Hey Troop! Glad to see all ya’ll are still standing proud. Sure do wish I could come and stand with you, just as I have always wished. Unfortunately I’m stuck down here in WV with a job that has no vacation slot. The Lord never rests and neither do I. Still, I’m so proud of all you guys. Pray for a crowd on the 21st and hope you or someone will send out an after action report. God bless you and all the vets and current troops.

One can only do what one can. I missed our two grandson’s (twins) graduation from Marine Corps boot camp (Parris Island) because of our situation.
We have a few people that have said they will come by. Weather is predicted in the 50s.
[MR] T
Thankful the weather will be pretty fair. Sorry about your missing your grandsons’ big day of deliverance from Boot Camp. Sempi Fi to both of them. (my hubby is a former Marine)
