After failing miserably in her 2016 bid for the White House, several sources are reporting today that Hillary Clinton is mulling a potential run for New York City Mayor. Although Mayor de Blasio, whose term ends at the end of 2017, has close ties to the Clintons there is no love lost between the two after de Blasio initially refused to endorse Hillary's presidential bid.
According to New York's Daily News, Hillary is being pressured by many New York Democrats to challenge Mayor de Blasio and wouldn't explicitly rule out a run when pressed by one top Dem late in 2016.
Hillary Clinton left open the possibility of running for mayor of New York City this year in a private conversation with a top Democrat, a well-placed source told the Daily News.Clinton, who is being pressed by many New York Dems to get back into the game by running for mayor, did not rule out challenging current City Hall occupant Mayor de Blasio in that conversation, the source said.
Meanwhile, we assume that Hillary hosted a strategy session on the topic with John Podesta and Huma Abedin that went something like this:
Poifect!
The perfect fit.
They deserve each other.
Cool!
Kicking and screaming works for me! PPV?
Bill and Hillary Clinton are the penicillin-resistant syphilis of our political system.
She didn’t screw him too badly. He got a nice home on North Hero Island out of the deal.
Oh, brother, no, no, no, no, no!
The secret agent Warren Wilhelm Jr. or the deplorable Cruella de Vil.
It would be great to see this wretched criminal lose yet again.
HRC is sweating out whether Trump will prosecute her or not. Her exposure on the Clinton Foundation pay-to-play and her criminal conflicts of interest are a huge problem. Does she want to give the Republicans another reason to press those issues? Simply, she runs for office, she will be indicted. I think she understands that very well.
