As Donald Trump prepares to disentangle himself from his sprawling business interests he'll have at least two key allies by his side in Washington: Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. The couple has secured a property... Trump's team is confident that, at a minimum, his daughter and son-in-law can act as informal advisers once he's in the WH. -snip-
Ivanka Trump has made clear that if she's advising her father in Washington, she will step back from her personal business... It's not clear how Jared Kushner will navigate his own real estate business....Trump is expected to shed some light on the new management structure for his private business -- and the roles of his children -- at a news conference on January 11, Trump tweeted Tuesday. I will be having a general news conference on JANUARY ELEVENTH in N.Y.C. Thank you.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 3, 2017 The President-elect has vowed via Twitter that his company won't execute any new deals while he's in office -- a step to guard against conflict of interest concerns. But sources said it's unlikely that Trump will go even further and fully divest from his company.
One option ... bringing in an outside trustee to help guard against conflicts of interest,... For Trump, the commitment to his enterprise goes beyond financial ties and includes a sentimental component as well. "President-elect Trump has always stated how much he loves what he does.
Anyone who spends more than four decades building a 10 billion dollar empire would clearly be sentimental about relinquishing control," said Michael Cohen, an executive vice president for the Trump Organization.
"However, President-elect Trump has also stated that there is nothing more important to him than fixing the mistakes made by the previous administration and Making America Great Again!"

The Kushners are a testament to an amazingly supportive family.
Of all the people associated with Trump, I trust the Kushners less than anyone. I’ve lived in the New York City area long enough that I’ve seen them up close, and I’ve never liked what I’ve seen.
P.S. — What I’m trying to say is that Kushner should stick to real estate and his other business ventures, and stay out of the Trump administration.
They wouldn't be in the news if they had done that, would they?
That’s a little harsh, isn’t it? Would you care to explain what you’re talking about? Also, who exactly do you mean by “the Kushners”? Jared and Ivanka? Other family members?
I hope Jared starting acting like he is America first.
I’m still trying to figure Jared Kushner out. He obviously is smart and capable, but I am worried that he is a closet Democrat.
I hope that DJT’s apparent ‘coming to the Lord’, per Dr. James Dobson, is correct. I also hope that Holy Spirit QUICKLY changes Mr. Trump, and that the changes his family sees in him, bring them to faith in Jesus. I also hope that, whether this happens or not, the US, and the rest of ‘Christendom’, returns to its Christian roots, a ‘Great Re-awakening’, like the ‘Great Awakenings’ of the 18th and 19th centuries.
and too close to Israel.....
Exactly. I've never met anyone with his pedigree in New York City real estate circles who would be considered remotely conservative by any objective measure. If I had read his biographical profile without knowing who he was, I would have assumed he was Hillary Clinton's son-in-law, not Donald Trump's.
I don't have anything bad to say about the guy, but I just don't trust him enough to put him in any position of responsibility in my government.
He definitely has an agenda. Whether it’s the one we voted for remains to be seen.
Call me crazy but I would hope Donald Trump approaches his responsibilities as President of the United States without any regard for the opinions of people who see these as “the last days.”
he is. up until this election, his political donations were to democrats.
That's exactly the point.
I can pretty much guarantee you that "his agenda" (whatever it may be) has nothing in common with the working-class voters who propelled Trump to victory in places like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Mr. Trump would do well to eliminate anyone from his circle of confidants whose agenda is supported heavily by people in states that voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton.
Please, Donald, send Jared and Ivanka back to run the businesses in NY—and take on Don and Eric as actual policy advisors.
Jared was DJ’s Rasputin....tough to shut him out.

It's interesting -- and maybe not even a coincidence -- that Kushner has so much in common with Chelsea Clinton's husband, Marc Mezvinsky.
