Does Trump Grasp the Reality of ‘Radical Islam’?
NRO ^ | Andrew McCarthy

Posted on 12/31/2016 2:15:26 AM PST by RoosterRedux

While candidate Trump was demanding that the enemy be named, and me-too Hillary was thus goaded into the occasional mention of “jihadists,” Obama tried to defend his refusal to invoke radical Islam. The defense was classic Obama. Part One was flat wrong: “There’s no religious rationale,” he maintained, that would justify” the “barbarism” in which terrorists engage — something that could only be right if we ignore scripture and adopt Obama’s eccentric notion of “religious rationale.” Part Two drew on Obama’s bottomless supply of strawmen: “Using the phrase ‘radical Islam,’” he lectured, will not make the terrorist threat “go away” — as if anyone had claimed it would.

The point, of course, is not that there is talismanic power in uttering an enemy’s identity. It is to convey, to the enemy and to an anxious American public, that our leader comprehends who the enemy is, what the enemy’s objectives are, and what drives the enemy to achieve them.

Obviously, Obama is too smart not to know this. After eight infuriating years, I am beyond trying to fathom whether his intentional gibberish masks some misguided but well-meaning strategy, some dogma to which he is hopelessly beholden, or something more sinister. The imperative now is to address the mess he is leaving behind, not unwind how and why he came to make it.

I would donate $1000 to a Trump Vacation Fund, if he promised to read something on FR once a week.

And I’m not rich.

And I know he doesn’t need it.

But it’s the thought that counts.

Literally.

My impression of Trump is that he may not be a reader. He seems to prefer getting his information and insight from listening and asking question.

Then he should hire Jim R as an informal advisor.

“Washington Post, please take note: ‘Muslim historian Firishta [full name Muhammad Qasim Hindu Shah, born in 1560 and died in 1620], the author of the Tarikh-i Firishta and the Gulshan-i Ibrahim, was the first to give an idea to the medieval bloodbath that was India during Muslim rule, when he declared that over 400 million Hindus got slaughtered during Muslim invasion and occupation of India. Survivors got enslaved and castrated. India’s population is said to have been around 600 million at the time of Muslim invasion. By the mid 1500s the Hindu population was 200 million.’” — Vercingetorix

Obama has shown that without a teleprompter, he is a stuttering fool.

I had heard a long time ago that the best way to see if a ‘reader’ is a reader or a tool by a few words...

A....when people speak they say a as ‘auh’ not ‘aaa’

the...is usually pronounced tha rather than thee.

He (BO) sort of ‘proved’ it by his reference to CorpsEman rather than Corpsman

So when said person reads you can spot whether her/she is comprehending the word or just ‘reading’.

I think I heard R Limbaugh point that out many years ago.

Which is why he discourages people reading articles

The Chinese Muslims are not peaceful. Not sure where you got that notion. China has it own low scale Muslim insurrection problem going on in the western end of the country.

supposedly on our side or not, any refuge

Ditto. Real Conservatives understand actions have consequences. These DC Conservative think they can actively violate every political principal we stand for to try and defeat Trump then come back and pretend nothing happened. Sorry DC Children, there no coming back from you political treasonous actions. You demonstrated your comply lack of integrity, political courage and trustworthiness.

Sounds to me like McCarthy is wincing from the Trump victory, and with this article he is using nuance in an attempt to salvage the integrity of his views.

When it comes to grasping reality, the first and most important general step is to destroy political correctness.

Nobody in the establishment conservative media has figured out how to do this. The fact that Trump has figured it out puts him several notches above McCarthy and the rest of them on the scale of geopolitical intellect.

They are either agnostic or what they believe we would call terrorism.
It is a death cult by the things followed under the Koran and Sharia.

If we had Charlie Manson doing this we would put him on death row, but nearly a billion Muslims follow this, so we remain too quiet on the topic IMO.

it has been a very long time since our side has actually won

Yes it has, and I want to keep the winning up. We do that by joining forces with them. Not through capitulation, but rather by showing them that their perception of us is based totally on ignorance that have formed their biased beliefs.

It’s been illuminating discussing this with you.

It has been the same for me with you. A fun conversation devoid of heated rhetoric and ad hominem attacks. We gained a better understanding of each other. Very beneficial and constructive in my opinion. 8>)

I have no doubt that there is indeed a degree of that. It is never easy for most to admit they were wrong.

However, it does show that he is in the process of changing his invalid opinion. While he is still approaching cautiously, he is still taking that step. In turn we should encourage him to keep approaching.

That his opinions are welcomed and desired when constructive rather than vindictive based solely upon misguided biased belief. We all win. We didn't beg him for his support, but his support is welcomed.

In turn he gets to offer a productive role in making America great again.

Because hopefully we both want that same outcome, and to (he double l) with bruised egos. Egos will heal rather quickly, and together we just might be able to heal this country that has suffered severe trauma at the hands of Obama and his leftist minions.

He's been trained and manipulated to continue the work of his father, but Malcolm has been converted to sainthood, so you don't know what his ambitions were. Study MX and you'll know what he's been up to.

How true the message on that graphic you posted is. I would save it but for that ugly face. There’s no doubt about it, muslims are ugly people. Their cult of mohammadanism makes everything about them ugly, there’s no art, no music, no dance, and looking in the mirror has to be a challenge...they are nothing but mirror images of their ugly ‘prophet’ and haven’t moved out of the seventh century as a result.

I’ve been trying to say this for almost 9 years. Zero’s intellect is about what you’d expect from a forklift driver... or a welder. Not that there is anything wrong with that... but puhleeese stop the serial lying about his grandiose intelligence. The LSM always treated his stuttering idiocy like it was typos... or ‘he was tired’.

No sir. He’s just a little on the dumb side, incorrigibly lazy, and outran his AA coverage decades ago.
