California Democrats Legalize Child Prostitution
Washington Examiner ^ | 12-29-2016 | Travis Allen

Beginning on Jan. 1, prostitution by minors will be legal in California. Yes, you read that right.

SB 1322 bars law enforcement from arresting sex workers who are under the age of 18 for soliciting or engaging in prostitution, or loitering with the intent to do so. So teenage girls (and boys) in California will soon be free to have sex in exchange for money without fear of arrest or prosecution.

This terribly destructive legislation was written and passed by the progressive Democrats who control California’s state government with a two-thirds “supermajority.”

This is insane. I'm angry and stunned and I feel like that should be a normal response.

All part of the plan:

Normalize casual sex.
Normalize homosexuality.
Eliminate the age of consent.

The truly scary part is the next step:

Eliminate the CONCEPT of consent.

In a sane world, it would be. California deserves special attention come judgement day.

What you describe sounds exactly like Afghanistan. Where our military guy was court martialed for pounding an Afghan military officer for raping a small boy.

If California doesn’t secede, they should be forced out of the Union. This must not stand.

They shouldn’t be thrown out of the Union. They should be thrown in prison and then executed. Anyone who agrees with this is a pervert of the 1st magnitude.

did they abolish statutory rape as well?
Even if its legal for a underage to become a prostitute, its still illegal for an adult to have sex with someone underage, which means only underage prostitute could sell themselves to someone also underage

Two laws that conflict with each other

Bye bye statutory rape.

What a scary bad law. “Good intent” but so superficial. When I lived in Zurich Switzerland, prostitution was perfectly legal. Pimping was not. But if you think even ONE of those ladies of the evening out on lonely highways didn’t have a pimp, you’re an idiot.

This leaves the children unprotected, and when discovered, doesn’t allow them to be removed from their situation. This is a PROTECTION for people who are holding sex slaves. Anyone with half a brain and common sense can figure this out.

Do I have to write that my state sucks EVERY DAY on this site?

It does.

SB 1322 doesn’t legalize child prostitution, it just prevents underage prostitutes from being prosecuted. The intent is to treat them as victims of sex trafficking rather than criminals. Who knows what the actual results of the law will be, however.

I keep reading this over and over looking for the sarcasm tag or hoax warning. I’m shocked. Genuinely shocked.

This could pretty much nullify statuatory rape.

There have been several postings of this, and I don't see anything at all that makes it legal for underage males and females to be prostitutes. The State is saying it's not going to prosecute them. It still has the authority to make them wards of the court if they are engaged in criminal activity. How effective that is would require its own thread.

Any adult who is stupid enough to think they can pick up a child prostitute can still be prosecuted for statutory rape at the minimum, and might well find themselves serving very lengthy prison time for other crimes against children, and might have to register for life as a sex offender. And anyone who is stupid enough to try to tell a Judge, or a jury that they thought it was legal will be laughed out of court, right on to the GREY GOOSE.
