And so, with the likes of WaPo having already primed the general public to equate "Russian Propaganda" with "fake news" (despite admitting after the fact their own report was essentially "fake"), while the US media has indoctrinated the public to assume that any information which is not in compliance with the official government narrative, or dares to criticize the establishment, is also "fake news" and thus falls under the "Russian propaganda" umbrella, the scene is now set for the US government to legally crack down on every media outlet that the government deems to be "foreign propaganda."
Just like that, the US Ministry of Truth is officially born.

>>So how did it get past the GOP?
It’s part of the NDAA and the GOP doesn’t have the courage to vote down a bill that has something in it “for the troops”.

It would look like something that the USSC could knock down, even if not repealed.
Just as the USSC held that the Affordable Care Act could not be constitutionally enacted as an individual mandate (as it was clearly written) but it could be constitutionally enacted when considered to be a tax - so, without any support in the legislative record, it's now a tax.
Words have meanings only so long as they don't interfere with the plans of our would-be masters and faith in the Supreme Court to rule against their plans in any way is misplaced.

One day, hearing the stories about things like this will be illuminating as cautionary material.

The spiritual atmosphere under which we are living has a lot to do with it.
There’s an adage even now that the Court follows the election returns. In an Obamic era, it makes Obamic moves. In a Trumpish era, it will make Trumpish moves.

All “Law” that is antithetical to the Constitution is “null and void”.
You can’t make unjust “law” in our Justice system (although the Marxists have done it over and over since 1913 to destroy private property rights, and all the amendments and to make us all into Slaves for the State.) BUT it is ALL still unconstitutional and we need good judges to declare it so.
We need to refuse to obey unjust, evil “law” (read tagline).
Nuremberg stated that same-—that officers, judges, people have to refuse to follow evil (unjust-unconstitutional) “law”.
Totalitarianism happens when good men do nothing.

Yeah. First he signs it and then minutes later violates it by going out and saying he would’ve beaten Trump and saying people from coast to coast liked his policies or some damn thing.

Beware of anything Obama does at this point. I feel that he is an enemy of the America we want. I hope all Americans are ready to stand their ground when he reveals the evil he plans.

So now we're going to do what we accused liberals of trying to do, and encourage the government to shut down news organizations that we don't like?

SORRY, but the GOPe=DNCe......the establishment elites control both parties (why do you think Obama has gotten everything he desired without any significant opposition from the ‘opposition party’?)

"Blatantly unconstitutional"
Why? Quote me a passage of the law that's unconstitutional. From the excerpts in the article, it sounds like the bill will be funding government efforts to combat - mostly overseas - what it regards as false propaganda emanating from foreign governments. I didn't see anything in the article about censoring US news agencies, or punishing people who criticize the government, or punishing people for advocating policies that might be viewed as favorable to some other government.
Having said that, I am not necessarily enthusiastic about our government meddling in the internal affairs of other countries via propaganda and the funding of opposition groups.

I keep hoping that now that we are in charge again the GOP-e will wake up and realize where their bread is buttered. Unfortunately, special interests are holding the butter knife. Trump is going to have some real fights on the hill. I believe that he will turn to the American people to get things done in the manner of Ronald Reagan.

Theres an adage even now that the Court follows the election returns.
If they hold their oaths to uphold the Constitution in such little disregard I don't see how you can have any faith in them to do anything other than what is in their own best interest. Follow the election returns? Okay, how about following the road of least resistance? Or following the road that doesn't result in their crimes or sexual misconduct being exposed? Or how about just following the path that lines their pockets with gold?
Threats or bribes? Lead or silver? Doesn't matter to me. John Roberts exposed himself as nothing but a tool of our would-be masters and words can't hide that fact.

If the Senate passed this, they can pass a bill nullifying it too. Hopefully soon and Trump will sign it.
