Inside pretty boxes they’ll find notes thanking them for making donations to organizations like Planned Parenthood and the Sierra Club that support causes expected to come under attack from the new administration.

I have a conservative friend who is giving out beautifully wrapped safety pins to the liberals on her list.
The way to deal with a dope like this is to talk politics any time you see him at a family event. Talk about how Trump seems to be keeping jobs in the US before he even takes office. Family members like this guy will go ballistic and have an anger hangover all day long.
I hope the recipients respond to the gift giver with complaint letters that he didn’t give nearly enough and that they would have certainly donated a lot more to a cause they support. See if they can goad him into giving away moar of his money.

My husband threw his extremely liberal sister and her family out of our house on Christmas Eve back in 2004 or so because of their rude and boorish behaviour. He unfriended her on facebook a few years ago for the same reason.
Some people are simply poison.
I’ve been getting crappy donation “gifts” from a lib relative for years. Two can play at that game.
Give him a MAGA hat or make a donation to a conservative cause in his name.
