Jimmy Carter is the only former president who has confirmed that he will attend the inauguration of Donald Trump on 20 January 2017. Earlier this month, Carter who had endorsed Hillary Clinton in the race to the White House, said at his Sunday school class in Georgia that he would attend the ceremony.
According to Politico, Bill Clinton and George W Bush will decide whether to attend the inauguration in the New Year. A source familiar with Bush told Politico that he is still weighing in on whether to attend the ceremony or not.

Must give Jimmy credit for this.
Don’t all former presidents usually attend the new president’s inauguration?
The horrific faces made by Michele will be all over the media.
Dubya is not pouting over politics, it’s a family thing as Trump was tough on Jeb. We’ll have to see how that one plays out.
As an ex-president Dubya has shown a lot of class. Don’t expect that from the Community Organizer.
“Id like Dick Cheney to be there just so he can give n0bama (assuming he shows) another evil death stare!”
n0bama will be there. He rides down Penn Ave to the swearing in, and then back to the White House to take a helicopter ride to wherever the hell he is setting up n0bama Inc.
As for Cheney, I hope to support him in 2024.
After this past election did you really expect, or want, the Clintons there?
“””A source familiar with Bush told Politico ...”””
Here is another unnamed source used by the leftist media to generate a negative story about Trump.
We should start a new response to MSM stories. If the source is not named then the story is fake news.
Usually. Gerald Ford did not attend Bush's 2005 inauguration and Bush senior did not attend Obama's second inauguration but in both cases it was due to health issues.
From Politico:
Following tradition, all former presidents are invited to attend the ceremony on Jan. 20 when Trump will be sworn in. But not all living presidents have consistently attended the inaugurations of their successors.
Who invited them?
Concur on Bush 41, he’s been seriously declining recently.
That said, if he’s not got long for the world, 43 ay be staying with him. That’s one situation that I would want to know more about before passing judgement. If my father was likely to die any day, I’d sure stay with him rather than go to an event like this.
I think Carter just wants any opportunity he has to get attention. He’ll pontificate about how awful Trump is after the ceremony, and the WaPo will eat it up. Then he’ll fly back to Georgia and no one will notice him, maybe ever again.
Carter is still trying to make himself look like he matters, but I’m glad he’s coming as long as he behaves himself.
I can’t believe that Clinton is staying away. Generally he takes every opportunity to hog the limelight. Hillary probably threatened him.
It makes sense. Carter and Reagan were the last American Presidents - until now. After Reagan each and every one has been a globalist sock puppet - until now.
Yup.
Agreed on all points.
You can kill 3000 Americans, and Bush will keep the doors open for the next terrorists to enter. He loves illegals more than us.
The Inauguration is Jan. 20 -- long past the Christmas Season.
“The Bushes are now totally unmasked. Its an extremely ugly picture.”
Nothing good grows in the Bohemian Grove.
