An Israeli official is accusing President Barack Obama of a “shameful move against Israel at the U.N.” after learning the White House did not intend to veto a Security Council resolution condemning settlement construction in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

Apparently, Trump’s intervention stopped this from happening. Egypt moved to delay the vote on the motion after Trumps public statement opposing it and then Trump and el-Sisi talked by phone.
It still might work. The vote will take place at 3PM.

Your link refers to the previous motion by Egypt at the Security Council. That one was delayed after Trump intervened. There is a new move today at the UN — sponsored by four other nations — to sanction Israel. This one is still active.
