I second the call for the end of the NY Times.

Americans would prefer to have illegal aliens in CA decide for them who will be president and ram that decision down their throats.

If they did end it, Trump/Pence 2020 would win in a landslide anyway.

To quote President Donald J. Trump;

‘It’s the New York Times, they are always wrong’. :)

The Electoral College will last longer than the NY Times.

The Electoral College calls for the end of the New York Times. Goes both ways, yes?

More #fakenews by little Becky Dumbass. The last poll I saw, 60% of Americans said we need the electoral college. This b*tch is a liar.

Oh sure. So the crooked political hacks who run a half- dozen cities can decide who gets to be president - -and who doesn’t get even a chance. No way. Our republic’s Founders were pretty smart people

Call Controlled Demolitions Inc. they can implode the NYT building. They won’t have to worry about renting out space. And it’s faster. I’m sure The Trump Organization cN think up a use for the property.

“Americans would prefer by overwhelming majorities to elect a president using a popular vote system”

IDIOTS!

Of course the overwhelming majority (found in a few big cities) would like absolute power.

That’s exactly why the Electoral College was created.

I give it two years until the NY Times is on-line only, with a part-time staff of 20 people or so.

“overwhelming majorities”

No one asked me. I didn’t get to vote! What happened to one man one vote?

End the NYT for sure-— but keep the crossword puzzles! They’re still worthwhile

Does anyone in a million years believe the Slimes would advocate for this if Trump had won the popular vote and Clinton the EC?

Stupid liberals. Trump would have won the popular vote if the election was based on winning such. Look at the size of his campaign rallies sans celebrity appearances like Hildebeast. Secondly, many republicans in solid blue states didn’t even bother to vote in 2016 because they knew their vote didn’t matter under electoral college rules. My 3 siblings living in SoCal are an example. Why bother to vote when you have no chance of winning. But in a popular vote contest, every vote matters even in the bluest of states...
