The CIA, Washington Post, And Russia: What You’re Not Being Told
Mint Press News ^ | December 20, 2016 | By Carey Wedler

Posted on 12/20/2016 8:28:00 AM PST by Brad from Tennessee

According to an unsubstantiated article by the Washington Post, anonymous CIA officials have confirmed that the Russian government hacked the United States election to favor Donald Trump. Though it’s entirely possible the Russian government attempted to influence the election, the Post has been widely criticized — for the second time in a month — for its failure to follow basic journalistic practices. Nevertheless, the narrative is sticking.

But the outlet’s behind-the-scenes relationship with the CIA is nothing new. In 2013, a conflict of interest arose shortly after Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, purchased the newspaper. As the Nation reported at the time:

“[Jeff Bezos] recently secured a $600 million contract from the CIA. That’s at least twice what Bezos paid for the Post this year. Bezos recently disclosed that the company’s Web-services business is building a ‘private cloud’ for the CIA to use for its data needs. . .”

Fabricated stories must always have an anonymous source. Imagine that.

...the Russian government hacked the United States election to favor Donald Trump.

What, exactly, does that sentence even mean? “Hacked the election?” Seriously?

...“The Post often does reporting on CIA activities. The coverage should include full disclosure that the owner of the Washington Post is also the main owner of Amazon — and Amazon is now gaining huge profits directly from the CIA.”

Interesting.

Bull-chit, no serious-minded person is buying this garbage. Once again the purveyors of fake news over-estimate their influence. Re: The Hildabeast's recent blowout of DJT.

Oh, wait...guess it didn't quite turn out that way after all.

ANY story — ever — which relies on an “unnamed source” should be considered FAKE news. No reputable news agency should publish such crap.

Only among the MSM and Liberals. But then again, I repeat myself.

This is beyond disdainful. I’m more upset about CIA sources that leak information to the media than I am about if any hacking occured. It’s the responsibility of those who maintain the accounts to prevent hacking.

President-elect Hillary Clinton believes the narrative, and that is what is important. :-)

CIA leaking stories, true or false, is very bad. It is certainly the basis for firing anyone associated with the leaks.

However, treating the American media and the American people as if we are third world banana republic citizens who should be manipulated by Intelligence Community disinformation is more than inappropriate—it is treason (regardless of how the perp may lawyer up and regardless of what laws Congress may have passed to support such practices).

Fire everyone in the present CIA, then hire new, vetted employees. I myself want to apply to a new CIA.

Indeed. This is the myth they are developing, the excuse for Hillary Clinton losing. That excuse is for the history books to supplant our electorate’s rejection of her for gross incompetence, criminal actions, treason, and being plainly evil.

Liberals constantly meddle with our perception of reality and pervert history to their own narrative. After 75 continuous years of this indoctrination I am amazed anyone in this country can think for themselves let alone behave rationally!
