It didnt take long after last months presidential election for millions of Americans to cycle through several stages of grief before landing on the third, bargaining, and basically just sit on that level. As election results rushed and then trickled in showing Democrat Hillary Clinton had won the popular vote by a historic margin while still losing the Electoral College to a candidate who had never held elected office and who appeared somewhat disinterested in the reality of governing, people wondered if there was another way.
Detractors in the end coalesced around a long-shot strategy to deny Donald Trump the presidency: Convincing Electoral College voters to be unfaithful to the candidate their states had chosen. After more than a month of speculation about the feasibility of that strategy several electors have indicated they may refuse to support Trump the moment of truth will come Monday when ballots are finally cast.

But electors also dont appear to be comfortable with the election either. A bipartisan group of electors came together recently to request that they be briefed on evidence related to the alleged Russian hacking and meddling in the election.
“who appeared somewhat disinterested in the reality of governing,”
Oh really? That’s why his energetic rallies drews thousands while hilLIAR “rested” and hid behind #FakeAds
Actually she beat Trump by only 4 of the 5 counties in and around NYC.
We are a nation of States and not a unitary nation. Our flag celebrates States, our constitution has States as a basic premise, and our people identify as citizens of a particular State.
We are the united States and not the amalgemated states.
The Left just can't take it. This surpasses the "Sore Loserman" election back during the hanging chad fiasco. I think Trump is very interested in governing.
The Hail Hillary gambit in the Electoral College will fail miserably.
We’re just going to have to get used to winning.
Could "electors" who fail to discharge their duties be SUED?
I mean like a class action suite for BILLIONS (one suspects that the damage cost to our fine Country might amount to billions)!
Even assuming that President Elect Trump wins in the Electoral College final tally, are there not grounds for any "elector" who fails to faithfully reflect the voter's decision be SUED, and might the financial burden be far beyond ability to ever financially recover?
Just wondering, I'm not an attorney, and it might be interesting to hear from a few on this idea.

True. Take out L.A. and NYC and it’s a diff tale. Also,I wish we hard numbers or a good estimate of the number of illegal alien voters who voted for her.
Her last chance to win the presidency is long gone. Her chance to disrupt the process really ends Monday. At the most the defection of electors would send the election to the House which would choose Trump though the weakest of leftist minds fantasize either that the Republicans would split by states and vote for Trump and another gope and the Democrat state delegations would elect the President. It is pretty thin gruel.
I was searching to see if Hitlery took Clinton County NY, something Bill never did. She won it, but not much else;

I’m thinking the bullying and threats are more likely royally P.O.ing the electors than changing their minds..
Democrats should be grateful that this was a revolution won with ballots and not bullets. It is a noble example for other nations to emulate.
Trump is not interested in operating the socialist train which is what the Left considers to be “governing” so yes, he is not interested much in “governing.”
It sure would steel my resolve.
That is a basic civics lesson that is heavily suppressed in school from pre-k to post grad.
No. The Constitution allows them to vote as they will. Were they Constitutionally bound to their state results there would have been no need for them and they would truly be extraneous. They are another level of protection from majoritarian democracy.
As punishment, have it arranged to have 10 people sue one elector in SMALL Claims Court- no attorney-faster judgements. Do this in 1 week—wait a short time and 10 more sue. Just a few thousand dollars for each final judgment would bankrupt the idiot.
Next elector, please.
