I don't know...the article doesn't mention anything about "security briefings", just meetings with "security organizations" (insane by itself). Not sure if that's splitting hairs, but this newer version seems to have escalated what these foreigners are getting in terms of a briefing.

Sounds like our Kenyan POTUS has upped the ante.

The group walked through Customs and Borders operations beginning at the point of entry for passenger arrival to customs stations, agricultural screening, and the interview rooms. The agents described the "Passenger Lookout Override" system that was implemented two months ago, in which a passenger who has the same or a similar name as a person with a suspicious record can be distinguished from the actual suspected person.

IN this thread, the first bullet point about it being done in 2014 & 2015 is the exact thing that was done in chicago in 2006. To elaborate on that bullet point:

Besides multiple roundtable meetings between CBP and Somali community leaders including imams, the records show that a luncheon and “cultural exchange and educational brief” also took place between December 2014 and February 2015 so that attendees could ask about the agency’s “specific practices” at the airport.
