A professor at the University of Southern California has barred her students from using the phrase illegal immigrant in their final exam for the class.
Alicia Chavez teaches the American studies course, America, the Frontier and the New West, a course that focuses on the intersecting historical processes and diverse peoples which have shaped the region of the North American West.
According to an email screenshot supplied by a student in the class, despite the class dealing substantially with illegal immigration into the United States, Chavez banned use of the term illegal immigrant on her students upcoming final exam. Instead, students have been ordered to use the term undocumented immigrant or unauthorized entry as a euphemism for such immigrants.

Welcome to Professor Watchlist, a project of Turning Point USA.
This watchlist is an aggregated list of pre-existing news stories that were published by a variety of news organizations. While we accept tips for new additions on our website, we only publish profiles on incidents that have already been reported by a credible source.
TPUSA will continue to fight for free speech and the right for professors to say whatever they wish; however students, parents, and alumni deserve to know the specific incidents and names of professors that advance a radical agenda in lecture halls.
Below are professors currently featured on the watchlist. Check out our full listing to see if any of your professors have made the list. (see list at link)

Note: I follow these guys on FB .... great pics & posts, doing good work.
A professor will state they are professors, and clearly the person with tenure. This lecturer is on a path to loosing any chance for tenure because this is going to bring up complaints. She will be at some community college by summer of next year.
“Is she one?” - I doubt it. Most one-year olds are more
mature than she seems to be. - Evidently, she doesn’t think
anyone else has freedom of speech except herself and is
using her “position” as a crutch for enforcement of her
will.
Improper entry by alien == IEBA
Instead of “illegal alien,” just use the old standard, “wetback.” It worked for our family of Border Patrol/Immigration Officers for three generations, since 1928.
She’s right, they’re Illegal Invaders.
How about Mexicans who’ve broken our laws?
I’ve always preferred the term “Invasive Scum”.
I prefer “undesirable”, anyway. :)
How can the students discuss obama, then?
I smell a nice and profitable lawsuit here : )
University of Southern California professor Alicia Chavez gives aid and comfort to the enemy. Whether USC supports her in her treason remains to be seen.
“Felonious alien” works for me.
I would start using the phrase “Legal immigrant not” instead. Or “foreign invader.” “Alien criminal” also works.
USC is a private institution, so I guess the “good” professor can do what she wants in her class. However, she has been exposed by this episode, and wary students, beware.
Did she also ban the phrase “go f-— yourself”?
Oh? How about illegal alien?
How about “Criminal.”
