Ask Mr. Douglas, both, about Elia Kazan.

Yes, William Bendix. He’s also listed on the movie poster.

We’re dating ourselves.

“Given the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor and Douglas’ 100th birthday I had to rewatch this recently.”

You might enjoy “The Final Countdown” where he plays the commander of the USS Nimitz - the ship gets caught in a time warp and ends up in Dec 7th, 1941.

This makes no sense. Natalie’s family has publicly accused Robert Wagoner of not telling the whole truth about her drowning so why on earth would they hold their fire about a rape accusation? The accusation is not credible since there is no proof, just a sensationalist book.

The VILLAIN is my favorite Swartznegger movie, in addition, to being a great Kirk Douglas movie. I will always remember the answer Swartznegger’s character gave to the question concerning how he got his name, “Handsome Stranger”.

I watch In Harm's Way at least a couple of times a year, whenever I'm in a "Navy" mood. Outstanding movie, surprisingly follows closely to the book, managing to hold it all together with great actors.

From that movie, Patricia Neal became one of my great teenage crushes. I don't know what it was about that movie .. especially because of the age difference that would have existed .. but she (and Rosemary Clooney from White Christmas) became my female ideals.

The Villain --- Wiley Coyote/Snidely Whiplash as a bad-guy gunslinger.

Kirk Douglas, Anne Margaret, [a very young] Arnold Schwartzenegger, Paul Lynde, Jack Elam, Strother Martin, Mel Tillis ...

The romance between Patricia Neal and John Wayne is the epitome of tasteful steamy. Really shows how “less is more”.

Every actor has his Zardoz. That one may be Douglas'.

Though I admit I've seen it and found it entertaining in a guilty-pleasure sort of way.

Surprised that no one mentioned Seven Days in May. (Attempted military coup)

He had a great rapport with Burt Lancaster, and it showed here, and elsewhere.

Ace in the Hole was way ahead of its time. It tanked when it originally played.
