Sen. Barbara Favola says she doesn’t want to take away your guns. She just wants to know what you’re packing.
The Arlington Democrat is proposing to have the state study whether the registration of firearms in Virginia is feasible, because she believes arming police with a database of gun records would provide them with an additional tool to fight crime. But she knows even a study will draw opposition in Richmond

I think we should have a mouth registry. Democrats are allowed one sentence per day, with a maximum of 10 words.
The only time “sentence” should be used in relation to dems is when one is being imposed. Like 10+ years no parole. ;-)

I have some guns that I’ve inherited that are not in the ATF database. I also have some that I purchased prior to 1968 which is when ATF 4473 became a requirement when buying through an ATF licensed dealer or retailer. Btw, when you hear people talking about closing the gun show loophole, they’re spinning you. What they’re really talking about is forcing all gun sales, including private sales, gifts, bequeaths, etc, through an ATF licensed dealer. Failure to do so would be a crimal act.
What does a gun registry accomplish?
It tells you all the LAW ABIDING people who have guns.
What use is it? As long as they stay law abiding... nothing.
But criticize someone they dont want criticized, and suddenly you’ve broken some law or another... and they know you own a gun.
