US President-elect Donald Trump has been named as Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2016. The property tycoon took the title after winning an unexpected victory over Hillary Clinton in November's presidential election. Mr Trump told NBC's Today show shortly after the announcement it was a "great honour" which "meant a lot" to him. He was chosen from a shortlist that also included Mrs Clinton and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I still will never forget the way that FAKE NEWS rag put a mocking image of a melting caricature resembling DJT on the cover TWICE.
The first time, the image faced the reader with the caption “meltdown”. The second time, it was falling flat and the caption said “Total Meltdown.” Bigots.
Isn’t Time the rag that once sold it’s entire operation for $1?
Time isn’t a magazine.
It’s a pamphlet with advertising.
The last time a bought a copy of the rag was the year Bush was named Person of the Year.
The only other on the list I would have accepted would have been Nigel Farrange(sp?), who engineered Brexit, and perhaps they could have argued set the stage for Trump.
