On Tuesday, disgruntled Democrats held a forum to discuss the possibility of replacing the Electoral College.
Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) conceded that Democrats could not get rid of the Electoral College due to the way the United States Constitution is written.
“I don’t think we can sustain our American democracy by having the majority ruled by the minority. And so the question is how to fix this since the Constitution is written in such a way that it’s almost impossible to amend,” Lofgren said.
Lofgren went on to say she is open to a Constitutional Convention, “We are three states away from calling for a Constitutional Convention. It’s something I’ve always been opposed to, …. But I’ll say because, for the second time in sixteen years, people the American voters elected did not become president. Rational people, not the fringe, are now talking about whether states could be separated from the U.S., whether we should have a Constitutional Convention. And I think as time goes on that is apt to become more the case unless we here can figure an answer to preventing the majority from being ruled by the minority.

I find it telling that they think that they are the majority in the “democracy.” Truth is, they are just the ones that have recently been holding the megaphone.

THIS was always the danger behind Mark Levin’s idea.
That people like Zoe Loftgren would glom onto it and redirect it towards their own agenda.
The States which are united under the Constitution should never relinquish any more sovereignty.
If anything every State should be working to “claw back” as much of their previously relinquished sovereignty as possible.
I have no problem with disgruntled democrats leaving the Union. They can all leave any time they want, and go wherever else in world suits them. Venezuela or Zimbabwe sound like just the sort of paradise they are looking for. They don’t even need to go through a messy change of Constitution to do it.
I believe a number of prominent members of the media/entertainment/academia propaganda complex have already promised to leave. I assume they are getting their affairs in order as I write this.
Better idea
Just move in bulk and “diversify” somewhere......like Africa
Think of all the “good” you’ll bring . . . your numbers, your “healthy” your “superior intellect” your “superior politics” your wealth (ie, not someone else’s)
and most importantly, your “DIVERSITY” After all, your obsession with it, just think of all the “good” you’ll do for your New World Order

Typical sounding lib. They can’t approve of an amendment for adoption that abolishes the constitution. And as a side note it takes 3/4 of the states to adopt any new ones and they don’t have the majority states under democrat control.
