President-elect Donald J. Trump is moving to repudiate vast parts of President Obama’s domestic agenda as he fills his cabinet with conservatives who have long records opposing the current administration on social programs, wages, public lands, veterans and the environment.
Mr. Trump’s selections to lead the Education, Commerce, Justice and health departments — and the names under consideration for other federal agencies with broad authority over the lives of Americans — have cheered Republicans in Washington, who have spent eight years battling Mr. Obama’s administration.
“It’s a recognition that elections have consequences,” said Thomas M. Davis, a former congressman from Virginia, who said he was impressed by the ideological philosophy of Mr. Trump’s domestic agency appointments. “Republican philosophy says markets can do a better job. It’s a huge clash with Obama.”

The racist left is attacking Dr. Carson. I get it. How bad are they going to look when they, the superior, smarter-than-everyone elitists have their inner city messes cleaned up by a very conservative black man. It will be quite the project to watch.
There is a reason Pelosi hit the roof over Carson earlier today. Carson is not at HUD in order to pander to inner city groups, or to hand out money. He is there to lead the inner cities into the republican tent. Trump is not surrendering the cities to the democrats. Pelosi can see this.
The Slimes says that Carson “has been fiercely critical of housing programs intended to end segregation.”

Trump is assembling the best talent like any executive. He will also hold each of them responsible to deliver results.

I initially thought Carson was an odd pick for HUD, but the more I thought about the more sense it made...
He is one of every few blacks that have a truly inspirational story the people in those housing projects can strive for....

Yep - the theory looks to be that Carson can inspire people to get out of the Urban Plantations, rather than just being a superior Administrator of Urban Plantations.
