Former Vice President and climate advocate Al Gore met with Donald Trump at Trump Tower in New York City today.
Gore said he had a "lengthy and very productive session" with the president-elect, who has previously called climate change a "hoax."
"I found it an extremely interesting conversation and to be continued and I’m just going to leave it at that," Gore told reporters of the meeting with the president-elect "... It was a sincere search for areas of common ground."
Gore also met with Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump.
The meetings with the two Trumps came against the backdrop of a New York Times report that the future first daughter also last week met with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, an outspoken advocate on climate change issues. According to that report, the actor gave Ivanka Trump a copy of his documentary “Before the Flood.”
Politico has also reported that Ivanka Trump intends to make climate change one of her “signature issues” with her father in the White House. The transition team has yet to specify what role the future first daughter may play in a Trump administration but has referred to her as an adviser to the transition.
While the specifics of Ivanka Trump’s views on the issue of climate change are not publicly known, the Trump transition made clear as recently as Friday that the future administration will take a different approach to the issue than the Obama administration has.
On Friday, a leaked internal memo said that the president-elect supports the completion of the Dakota Access oil pipeline, which the Army Corps of Engineers on Sunday blocked from running through a disputed piece of land. Native Americans and environmental advocates say the pipeline threatens sacred sites and a local water supply.

For me, the big items he got wrong were pushing Mann's bogus curve and the giant floor to ceiling graph supposedly showing a correlation between temperature and CO2 from Antarctic ice core samples.
Mann's graph was specious from the beginning being based on two unrelated data sets. The actual temperatures from 2000 on clearly didn't follow the prediction from the graph.
The problem with the core sample based graph was that later analysis of core samples demonstrated that CO2 increases actually historically FOLLOWED increases in temperature by hundreds of years. Thus, they only demonstrated that increased temperatures "boiled" CO2 from sequestration; e.g. sea water. Thus, far from being the cause of increased temperature, increases of CO2 have been caused by increased temperature.

It seems to me that one could support Nuclear power and claim global warming credits for an improved electric generation throughout the country. I would think that this may be a point of agreement between the portion of true global warmers who are also not total idiots where nuclear power and safety are concerned.
OK...here’s the real reason Gore went to Trump Tower:
He wanted to tell Trump that he and JilL Stein are raising money to force a nationwide recount of the 2000 election, and that Trump might have to wait 4 years to become President.
<My read on this is that one of the toilets got plugged in Trump Tower and ultimate-loser algore was called in to fix it.

The good thing is Trump likely met with Al to shut his princess up.

I hope this is just some sort of exaggeration. Isn't she supposed to be running his business? Why would she have any "signature issues" with him as president? The energy and economic policies that he ran on helped to get him elected. It's a little late to change on those now (though I don't believe that he really will--or at least not much).

We don’t need the federales mandating what private employers pay male and female employees and we don’t need the federales getting involved in cap and trade or any other part of the global warming scam. Perhaps there are some issues on which Ivanka Trump might have good advice for her father, but if reports about these two issues are correct, Trump should shut her out of anything to do with them.
Ivanka married into a crime family who are Democrat fundraisers, and she’s supposedly BFF with Chelsea Clinton. Why should there be a surprise that she apes the views of celebretards?
