I thought the Bush legal argument from 2000 was correct, but in the last few days I’ve had a number of Freepers who have a much better understanding of legal matters correct me on it.
If she raised all the money she claimed she raised, then why did she drop her recount bid in Pennsylvania over the weekend and instead file a Federal lawsuit today claiming that the $1 million payment required by the state for a recount is excessive?
I’m a little annoyed that Trump just ignores it and doesn’t point out the hypocrisy each day at the very least. In the beginning I actually expected him to fight fire by doing the same in NH and Nevada.
This is ridiculous, if the timing of the recount was so important, why did the petitioner wait until 5 minutes before deadline to file it. There is no way the state can be prepared to do a recount in 9 hours, and there is no way that observers can be place in all counties by all parties to a recount in that time. I can’t believe (well I can believe it) but it should not be allowed for a federal judge to stick his nose into state law like this.
Like I said, what else was Stein wrong about ?

Trump can’t really point out the “hypocrisy” here because Clinton has been completely silent on these stupid recounts.
I’ve been speculating all along that Stein’s only objective in pursuing these stupid recounts has been to raise money to continue paying campaign staff, lawyers and consultants — many of them probably friends and family members — long after Election Day.
If that were the case, why can’t someone file in California, Minnesota, Nevada, NH, Virginia and NY for a hand recount? Not to overturn that state, as Clintonstein says, but just make sure everything is on the up and up. It could take months to recount those by hand

She only dropped in the State courts because she knew she could not win.
Hence, Jill wanted to shop a Federal Judge that would do it.
I’m sure he is on it but taking the advice to remain quiet about it from his Attorneys.

I don't necessarily doubt that she raised it, but she had to pay a big chunk of it to Wisconsin for what is looking like a futile recount effort on her part. I suspect she really didn't raise the money to pay these fees to the states, and that she really wants to use it to pay lawyers, consultants and her campaign staff.
Dems are determined to steal the election or nullify it by manufacturing voter fraud. I am so disgusted. The federal courts have no business telling a state how to certify their votes absent of clear evidence of fraud or manipulation. This is a fishing expedition to “find” votes. No one has offered an reasonable suspicion that the original counts were wrong. They just don’t like who won.
Well per Beth Harris (a top election fraud expert and Liberal Democrat) has said she knows Hillary stole 5 States (New York, Virginia, California, Oregon and the State of Washington).
So if push ever came to shove then Trump could challenge these States in addition to Nevada, Minnesota and New Hampshire.
Get ready for four years of court fights.
I believe she is doing exactly that, but acting as a proxy for Hillary too.

I just hope Trump and the Pubbies have had the lawyers in place in Detroit and Ann Arbor over the weekend. How are they going to get observers to every county by 12:00.
