NDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- After a winning week for many Carrier workers, Rexnord employees are now in the spotlight.
This tweet from President-elect Donald Trump has workers there wondering about their own jobs.
I prayed, God, just give me something to hold on to, some hope, said Rexnord worker Brian Bousum. Then, he tweeted.
For Rexnord employee Brian Bousum, this late-night tweet from President-elect Donald Trump was a small sign that left room for uncertainty.
He said no more, said Bousum. Does that mean no more after Rexnord? Does it mean hes going to talk to the CEO Todd Adams? Did he try already? I have no clue.

time to pass that tariff instead of having everyone threaten to move jobs to get their own special deal
Just googled “Rexnord government contracts”. 31 million here, 14 million there.... pages of it. Would be a shame if anything happened to their contracts wouldnt it.
There is plenty of leverage and I don’t think the state has offered much to Rexnord.
Donald will find leverage to keep people who plan on leaving here and will change the environment so people want to stay.
Simply tweeting to call them out is another form of leverage
I don’t know what they do or make but they are certainly going to take a hit when the president of the United States mention them by name LOL. If they make a product that I would never buy it in a million years if they move. I’m sure the mainstream media is horrified that Mexicans are losing jobs in Mexico. jerk offs
While Levin and the #NeverTrump idiots bemoan the impending Trump Presidency.
Industrial ball bearings.
Rexnord is not having a nice weekend. Trust me. ;-)
You are 100% correct. A simple tweet calling them out is major leverage.
Almost like taking a call from Taiwan’s President.

It is a lot bigger company than just ball bearings.
Take a look see and tell me Trump cant beat their asses into the ground if he decides to.
OMG, how funny. Trump can put a serious hurt on Rexnord’s Vag Division. I didnt even know Rexnord was female....
what’s good for one company is obviously good for another
set corp tax to $0 and the companies stay.

Second local station on the Rexnord employees reaction.
“Presidential power is the power to persuade.” Richard Neustadt
the “bully pulpit” being used to its best advantage.
I would sure ask this guy if he voted for Trump.
Then tell him Donald Trump is working for you even if you didn’t vote for him, but successful or not he is doing more than Obama or Hillary would. And, he would sure appreciate your vote in 2020.
And, by the way, even if your job goes to Mexico, Donald is going to bring other jobs here.
I think that is part of the victory lap tour.
Sorry, the Nascar donut burn outs for the crowd.
Rexnord makes gear reduction brake motors. My company purchases them for material handling equipment. Come Monday we will be looking at other options.
I think Donald is going to push things as close to this as is politically feasible, and make things financially easier by cutting huge wads of regulatory red tape in the bargain.
It’s not JUST a warning, but a banner of hope. Hold the fort, for Donald is coming.
The wise thing is to keep the option open, but don’t be precipitous until seeing what Donald hath wrought, so to speak. So often the first worldly thought towards someone who was about to go the wrong way is to be punitive, even though they eventually don’t. Be a positive answer to these workers’ prayers — not a negative one.
