THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK
COLE PORTER
RED, HOT AND BLUE
EDDY DUCHIN: ITS DE-LOVELYThis was the man who got the hit from this tune in 1936. Jerry Cooper mangles the lyrics, but who cares when you have such an authentic Thirties dance band sound?

Howdy there, Ms. Feather!
Been a bit nippy up your way, hasn’t it. At least the snow appears to be gone .... for now.

Howdy, Kathy.
Glad you made it home safe and sound. Were there as many wrecks today or did people finally remember how to drive on snow?

Hi radu!
No snow but plenty cold. All the snow is in the mountains.
Going to hunker down and watch the Washington-Colorado PAC12 championship game.
See ya, hope your day was fine!

There was a page in front of the page you posted.
They want membership.
To: Soaring Feather
It’s not mandatory. If you hit the “X” to close it, it closes and you get the story.

Ah, I thought you were expecting snow in your area too. Just it being cold is plenty bad enough.
Days are ok here but the nights have been cold. I’m already ready for Spring! LOL
Good enough day, I guess. Just a quick run to the vet to pick up some meds for cats and made home-made pimento cheese for sammiches for a party tomorrow night. Real excitin’, huh?
Enjoy the ballgame!

SARAH VAUGHAN: ITS DE-LOVELYThis 1950 recording takes an orchestral look at the intro, but then it goes Big Band with a relaxed pace.

Didn’t do much - - - that’s a lot of what made it good, right? LOL!
It was pretty much the same here and that was good enough to suit me. :-)
