55,000 troops is not a whole lot for an imminent invasion.

Russia’s “eastern border” is the Pacific Ocean.

55,000 is a “mighty army”? Gimme a break. How many of those are your standard Russian conscripts?

There will come a time when Islam will tip European Countries over.
Barring a request for American liberation which will never come considering they invited the invaders in, we are left with the question:
When European Countries devolve to ISIS States, do we let them exist or not?
Should we sail over and make them States of the US or let Putin grow his territory?

55,000 is roughly 3.5 Divisions. Not a huge force.
There are more fans at a typical college football game.

Let them annex all of Europe and let them deal with the muzzles. They seem to be the only nation willing to defend themselves, along with Poland and Hungary.

Hilarious headline.
Suggesting Russia would invade Europe with 55,000 men.
Everyone knows it would take 250,000 of the finest, best trained and equipped shock troops and absolute air dominance to make it to Berlin, much less the Atlantic.
And a couple of million to hold it.

Just was thinking about this 4-5 years ago. It just seemed like a funny geography fact at the time.
Now I’m looking at the map of Eastern Europe again and was wondering your opinions since you all seem up to date or interested in Soviet geopolitics.
What if the move isn’t all towards the Crimean area but instead Putin uses the same excuse of “protecting Russian citizens” and decides to “protect” “Kallingrad Oblast”.
Take a peek at that little geographic anomaly. Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus (because of a main traffic thoroughfare through Belarus into Lithuania) might need to agree to “help” Putin protect the Russian citizens of Kallingrad Oblast with AA-missiles, tanks and troops in case NATO gets froggy.
Do the Baltic states get Article 5 NATO protection if Mr Putin decides to “protect” Kallingrad?
Hillary and the democrats pissing in Putin’s Cheerios didn’t help matters. This is where I think real problems are going to occur.
