First, Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio was convicted of drunken driving.
Then she tried to drink and drive again - a violation of her conviction discharge...
This week, she was finally stripped of all remaining judicial duties by a state administrative judge.
She was also ordered not to go into any non-public areas of Rochester's city court building...
And photos posted on Facebook appear to show Astacio drinking during the Thanksgiving holiday....
Through it all, Astacio is still collecting her $174,000 a year salary

Ordinary citizens get popped into jail for this.
She ought to be fired. An obvious case of alcoholic behavior. She most likely will die before she sobers up.

That is what I was thinking. I think in IL, people go to PRISON for at least a year or two, for multiple DWIs or driving on suspended license.

She was too drunk to drive so had her 6 year old blow into the device? I’m not one for calling in CPS over every little thing but the court should order a case be opened.
She got out the dead and illegal vote so now she gets her no-show job reward. It’s the Tammany Hall way. Just read “Plunkett of Tammany Hall”, the tiger can’t change its stripes.

"Her Honor" was not legally drunk at the time. It was a probation violation because she was not permitted to consume any alcohol at all. The child was not in any more danger than usual.
Just like welfare (though a lot more cash)!
Nearly 23 years sober here, and together with my wife, we both say she is an “alcoholic.”
The only effective “treatment” is total abstinence.
Enlightened colleagues on the bench would give her that advice.
Government employees in the Peoples’ Republic of New Yawk almost certainly have platinum health insurance, with mandatory substance addiction treatment.
She is a complete fool, if she didn’t avail herself of a 30 day inpatient rehab to start.
But an important aspect of the “disease” is that it tells you that you don’t have a problem.
I know. Been there, done that. (But sober from my very first AA meeting)
And politics must be put aside. Alcoholism takes down conservatives and liberals, whites and blacks, rich and poor.
Being very “intelligent” and highly educated may be an obstacle, to getting sober.
I’m wondering why it’s taking so long for her to go to prison.
