At an off-campus coffee shop Monday, Ohio State University senior Mohamed Farah catches up on his homework.
"I didn't get a lot of work done today just because there's a lot going on," he says. "I tried to stay away from the news, but I kept going back to it."

But the attacker did not use a firearm. According to police, he drove a car into pedestrians, then got out and attacked people with a butcher knife. Eleven people were injured before police shot and killed the suspect.
Farah says at first he feared for the safety of his friends and fellow students. Then, as more details were confirmed, his fears turned inward.
"When I first heard that he was Somali, I mean my stomach did fall," he says. "Not just because of what happened today, but because of what will happen tomorrow."
Police identified the suspect as Abdul Razak Ali Artan, who The Associated Press say was a refugee from Somalia.
Farah, who is a Somali refugee and a Muslim, says attacks blamed on terrorism have a familiar aftermath on campus: snide comments, peering eyes and a feeling of uneasiness.

Looking through tweets, Farah says the negative ones from his fellow OSU students are the most painful, like one that says as a Somali refugee, Artan "bit the hand that fed him."
"That one really, it shakes the core of you, you know," Farah says.
At the moment little is known about Artan. Authorities believe he acted alone but they do not know the motives behind the attack. In August, the recent transfer student was interviewed by the school newspaper in a series called "Humans of OSU." Artan said he didn't feel comfortable praying on campus.

Esther Honig/WOSU 89.7 "If people look at me, a Muslim praying," he said, "I don't know what they're going to think."
Horsed Noah, director of one of the largest Islamic centers in Columbus, runs a youth group for Somali men and women. He says he didn't know Artan, but reading that interview, he thinks the young man had become isolated.
"That definitely should have been a red flashing light," Noah says.
Noah says when he first heard about the attack at OSU, he had one thought: "I was with my wife and I said, 'I hope he is not a Muslim.' "
On Monday, Noah held community meetings to calm parents and children who are scared to return to work and school. He says his community is as shocked as the rest of the country.
Today, classes at OSU resume.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dreading it, but I don't think I'm going to skip class. I think I'm going to be there. I'm going to have conversations," Farah says. "I choose love. I affirm life.
Farah says he is as proud as ever to be a Buckeye.
He shouldn’t worry. College kids are mostly liberals, and liberals LIKE being killed by Muslims.
How many times are the muzzies gonna cry Wolf til they actually get one?
Backlash???
Because of the Trump win, that is what the entire white race has been experiencing from the MSM here lately.
Talking to a guy near here who had a bunch of muslin clients in his business, with appointments all lined up to see them on a regular basis.
The day after San Bernardino, they disappeared without a trace.
1) The Westboro freaks are (D) affiliates, so when they protest military deaths it’s no different from any other left wing faction;
2) Normal Americans fear the murderous FRONTLASH of Islamokooks, which is always exponentially more destructive than any deserved but never received backlash
But the thousands of Muslims murdering Christians every year have NOTHING to do with Islam.
That makes no sense whatsoever....nothing but Muslim agit-prop setting us up for more hate-filled Somali refugees in our communities plotting to kill us.
Americans cannot even fathom the kind of visceral hatred these deranged Muslims have for us. The more they get from us, the more they hate us.
The Somali butcher was welcomed into the US by these self-same students. He's prolly getting a free education, loads of social services and multiple US govt checks (prolly under several identities). No doubt, his killing car is also a freebie.
President Trump......take them out....as far away as possible.
Mohammedanism is evil. It deserves and has earned a backlash. A backlash is rational.
If NPR were honest, they would notice that there wasn’t any “backlash” after a Somali knifed people in St. Cloud, or after any of the other crimes and terrorist support committed by the Somalis in MN. A guy there was just sentenced to 20 years for supporting ISIS.
I think they’re just projecting their own fears onto Somalis. NPR staff are starting to realize that their propaganda is doing more than irritating most people.
As fearful as are non-mooslems are of being killed for being an infidel.
I fear that there will never be a backlash. I swear, allowing muz into any Western country is like allowing cottonmouths into ones house. There will never be a peaceful coexistence with them. One culture will eventually vanquish the other.
Until such time that they fear the backlash MORE than the radicals amongst them nothing will change.
Outlaw Islam
Expel all Muslims
Stop all aid to Muslim lands
If they are that afraid go back to your home country
If you are American born start openly condemning these killings and attacks
Muslim Collegeboy logic—”Ihate the way Muslims are represented in the Media-—I think I ‘ll go out and drive my car into a bunch of people-jump out and start slashing people until somebody sends me to my 72 virgins/ white raison-or whatever.(That will make America feel better about Muslims!)
They should feel uncomfortable. Only when they start protesting and leaving their beliefs behind will we start to feel comfortable with them.
The Islamic Community needs to look to people like Dr. Jasser for an appropriate way to respond to these incidents.
Not every Muslim is a terrorist and indeed, most Muslims are not and Muslims themselves worldwide are the biggest victims of this Stalinist version of Islam.
The solution is for the majority of Muslims to stand up and denounce people like this maniac instead of trying to construct defenses for his behavior, or excuse it on the basis of some incident in the perpetrator’s background and make it clear to people who might try to conflate them and their beliefs with these maniacs that do not represent them or their interpretation of Islam any more than the Ku Klux Klan and similar groups represent the vast majority of Christians.
If they fail to do that, they will elicit the very response they claim to resent and have no one to blame for the consequences but themselves.
