Republican Stewart Mills said on Monday that he will request and pay for a recount of votes cast in the northern Minnesota congressional district race he lost narrowly to Democratic U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan.
Mills lost by 2,009 votes out of 356, 971 cast in the Eighth Congressional District or about half a percentage point which is too large to trigger an automatic recount under state law. [ ]
Were not alleging voter fraud, were not saying anyone got the numbers wrong, but theres enough questions that need to be answered that can only be answered by a hand recount, Mills said.

Of course there was frigging voter fraud.
This is like 2 straight elections Mills has lost and he seems to be a good feller, I’d like to see him win.
Our pastor is an election judge. He claims their hands are tied by Minnesota law when they observe what is most likely voter fraud but can’t prove it.
-people (obviously not born in the USA) have IDs but couldn’t tell you the name on their own ID. With a valid ID you get to vote even if you don’t know your own name!
-people coming in (again with heavy accent) asking “where do I vote for democrat?” then coming out from voting booth confused when there is no party listed (SWCD board, County Commissioners, school board, etc. “where is democrat?”
Where there are demonrats, there too is Satan. You couldn’t detect integrity among them with a scanning electron microscope.
“Were not alleging voter fraud, were not saying anyone got the numbers wrong, but theres enough questions that need to be answered that can only be answered by a hand recount, Mills said.”
I am so sick of people being so darn, not the word I wanted, politically correct that they can’t be honest. If there was no voter fraud, and no one got the numbers wrong, then what questions can you possibly ask that require a re-count? Man up and say what’s on your mind. We just elected a president that says he is going to.
Stop being nice. Be efficient. Nice probably won’t get the job done with back stabbing liberals. Efficient will.

In retrospect it would have been good for DJT to have a mechanism in place to have recounts in every state of the union, even the states he won. Weed out the fraud and get the popular vote. Shine a light on it all.
Democratic U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan had to have a huge war chest to fight Mills with. We received more of those spendy, glossy, dual/triple fold coldpress pamphlets per day than you would believe!
Nolan is a left wing worm... I Pray Mills succeeds in this recount!
Good. This race was stolen. So was CD-1, which sadly didn’t get enough attention, wasn’t thought to be a top tier race, Trump coatails in district.
A nearby district I think Trump carried, Wisconsin-3, sadly didn’t have a GOP candidate
too many people seem to have missed the many threads and articles that mentioned republicans signed some agreement not to challenge voting results. I guess maybe it’s just presidential results, I don’t recall. All i know is i looked it up at the time and t made it clear that if they don’t do anything to trigger an extension again (already been one) that it will expire late 2017, I believe. So going forward Repubs the playing field will be more level.
This is an egregious abuse of equal protection that ought to be challenged at the highest levels. That said, a recount does not challenge the results, per se, but makes them more clear and accurate. It enhances them. The gist of that agreement is that we would not hassle inner city precincts during the process because it would intimate a twisting of arms on the part of Republicans, even though Democrats twist arms and bribe voters all day long.
Democrat Rick Nolan won by running as a republican. Wore blue jeans, carried a shotgun, back slapping factory workers, talking about “renegotiating bad trade deals,” etc.
The DNC ads badmouthed Stewart Mills’ money and called him a spoiled rich kid, etc.
