from the article:
These weapons transfers were secret. For the public record it was acknowledged that the US was supplying communications equipment to the armed opposition while Saudi Arabia and Qatar were supplying weaponry. This is one reason that Saudi purchases of weapons skyrocketed during this time period; they were buying weapons to replace those being shipped to the armed opposition in Syria. It was very profitable for US arms manufacturers.
Huge weapons transfers to the armed opposition in Syria have continued to the present. This past Spring, Janes Defense reported the details of a U.S. delivery of 2.2 million pounds of ammunition, rocket launchers and other weaponry to the armed opposition.
Claims that the US has been inactive are baseless. In reality the US has done everything short of a direct attack on Syria. And the US military is starting to cross that barrier. On September 17 the US air coalition did a direct attack on the Syrian Army in Deir Ezzor, killing 80 Syrian soldiers and enabling ISIS to launch an attack on the position.
Damn their rotten, stinking hide! They are nothing but Saudi butt boys. No wonder Putin gave Obama the evil eye and refused to shake his hand.
Every foreign policy stunt, short of war, that barkie does is theater.
Who is the ignorant ass who pushed this through? Are they not aware that there was an election in which this was front and center?
And are they not aware that joining the war on the rebel side was not a position of the winner?
McCain and Graham are the Will Rogers of bombs.
“They never met a war they didn’t like.”
wish they were this tough on ISIS and Iran
it boils down to his. A call... Hey putyput who do we talk to about joint targeting. awesome... calls will be made . Come join me at marilago. Lets play golf and discuss the future.
And I wonder if the billions of rounds of ammunition the government procured over the years was a stockpiling for their illegal transfer to this unlawful and amoral war?
What give the United States any moral or legal authority to dictate aircraft activity over another sovereign country?
.......particularly a legitimate elected government under attack by foreign Islamic mercenary forces recruited, trained in Jordan and supplied through Libya by clandestine elements of the CIA.....
he’ll work with Russia on Isis but Pooty won’t be too happy once the iran deal is scrapped
I agree.
Israel is neutral in the Syrian war, but they seem to feel they’re safer as long as the conflict continues, since neither side has any time to target them while it’s going on.
Our position should be what it was on the Iran/Iraq war...keep the war going on as long as possible until both sides bleed each other dry. Send arms to both sides if need be.
This is almost a declaration of war on Russia.

I’m not sure about that, BUT I’d still like to know where all the CASH given to Iran came from????
This is almost a declaration of war on Russia
Ah, ya think??
Let’s face it, after 1/20, Obama is not gonna go away. Therefore, having said that, Trump needs to step up, now today and say “we will not impose this no fly zone, we are behind the Russians in finally defeating the terrorists and rebels.” John McCain and Linda can go sit in the back of the bus now.
Effing madness.
Caesar? WTF? It must be a hoax.
50% of Raytheon’s foreign sales is to Saudia Arabia.
No wonder Putin gave Obama the evil eye and refused to shake his hand.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Putin is simply protecting Russia from massive demographic invasion by millions of refugees, as Obama intended.Obama planning to do that actually constitutes an act of war. Obama is fortunate that Putin has not reamed Obama a new ash haole. Putin may do so yet.
If Trump is not careful, Putin can soon control the flow of oil from Saudi to the West , with Iran’s help. That also may yet happen, but Putin seems to be biding his time to see what Trump will actually do.
