The talk at Donald Trumps Thanksgiving dinner at his Florida club was all about if he should pick Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani for secretary of state.
The president-elect held court on Thursday at his Palm Beach, Fla., Mar-a-Lago club at a large table with family members including wife Melania and sons Eric and Barron.
One witness told us Trump took a prime table next to the fireplace in the clubs living room, but spent a lot of time greeting members and asking who they think should be his top diplomat.
The spy said, Donald was walking around asking everybody he could about who should be his secretary of state. There was a lot of criticism about Romney, and a lot of people like Rudy. There are also many people advocating for [former US ambassador to the UN] John Bolton.

Rudy.
Rudy and Pooty will get along fine.
Pooty would pown Mitt. Devestate him.
Exactlty. I can't see The Donald walking around a dining room and asking random people what they think. It just doesn't add up.
New York Post??? Really people...and they were there to hear and see this taking place, I don’t think so!!!
Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch
should be Top Diplomat
I’d feel a lot better about Romney if he simply kept his big mouth shut during the election cycle since he wasn’t running. Seems like he only has a spine in certain instances and not when it counts.
He really should get out of politics; its a blood sport and Mittens just isn’t equipped for it.
One exception; he would make a good Ambassador due to his congenial character and he isn’t stupid - just lacks good judgment at times. Maybe someplace like France or Sweden.
I will have a hard time continuing my support if it is that RINO Romney. We voted to eliminate the establishment not support it.
Rudy! Not Mitt Romney, who called you a fraud during the campaign. Never him!
So the question should be
Bolton or someone else.
and
Rudy for something in law enforcement / homeland security / NSA / CIA.
I wanted Rudy as Atty General...he’s a wonderful attack dog and there’s people high on my list that need “attacked”. As Secretary of State, where I think he is headed, he will certainly be effective, as I doubt anybody could put anything over on him, but his forte IMO is righting wrongs.
#neverromny,#neverbobcorker! Both are bad people.
Bolton is one of the best men in government, and he would be guaranteed to restore America to its prior position as the #1 military superpower. He was certainly the best man to come out of the Bush Administration (many would say the ONLY good man to come out of the Bush Administration). He successfully let the UN know that their meddling in American affairs would not be tolerated, and if the rest of the Bush Administration wasn’t feckless, many of the UN “representatives” would have been executed for being the Leftist and Islamist toadies that they are.
Additionally, Bolton is the choice who will most likely cause a massive influx of liberal suicides once they realize that America will not be destroyed.
Romney was never a serious pick, only a joke pick suggested by the media to drum up ratings. Giuliani is a realistic and acceptable possibility, but Bolton would guarantee that the Trump Administration is ranked first in the history books (the ones without liberal bias, that is).
Romney will put his partner Soros in charge.
Not too smart, Mr. Trump.
Rudy proved how tough he was on 9/11. His leadership strength is not in question. Romney is a quitter. Choice is simple.
This is false. DJT did NOT walk around Maralago asking about who should be his SOS.
If that’s the total list then buh bye to Mr. Holy Underwear, Batman.
No Mitt! He might as well pick Megyn Kelly then, who did all his dirty work!!!
If you lived through 9/11 here and saw that the ONLY person you could turn to that day for hope and optimism and strength was not Bush, not Pataki, not ANYONE except Rudy, you would know he fits the bill.
He attended EVERY fireman’s funeral that was feasible even during his prostate cancer.
He crushed crime. I didn’t recognize many areas that two year earlier were infested with narcotics and prostitutes, who would roam freely with no fear on a given street.
He’s the real deal. Some will come back with “he’s back abortion and gays!!!”
I can’t read his mind and know if he’s changed his opinion, like Trump has, on abortion, but decisions on these issues won’t be made by him anyway. The president will make them.
Rudy is the guy.
Only if "unpredictable" means that they analyze important decisions from all angles to try to find the absolute best fit for their intentions, then I would agree that they are "unpredictable".
Which one is Barron backing?
