BRITAIN is well-placed to influence Donald Trump by exploiting his character and inexperience in office, a leaked memo from the British ambassador has suggested.
Sir Kim Darroch penned his message as it became clear the tycoon was heading for his shock presidential victory last week.
Britains ambassador to the United States claimed preparations in the build-up to the election had given the UK an advantage.

You have seen the story about the planned Farage move.
This may explain part of it.

Somehow, I doubt it. No, won’t happen.

They’re just determined to trip over their collective Johnsons, aren’t they? Trump is an avowed Anglophile. He already views the “special relationship” quite positively. Why all the bizarre and stupid machinations?

Silly. Trump has plenty of career diplomats and the intel community to advise him. How much experience did the community organizer have. Obama’s problem was that he ignored the advice given to him.

Typical kind of stuff ambassadors write.
Useless and insignificant.

The Farage maneuver is a huge show of strength in the political arena...upending all protocol.
And the Brits are all about protocol.

I’m having trouble with the concept of the British government’s exploiting anything. They’re pretty freepin’ clueless.

I’d say it’s entirely warranted, given the weird plotting to manipulate him, from the way PM Theresa May views extending an official State visit with the Queen to this latest gaffe from the Ambassador.
To: mrsmith
It’s not insignificant. The papers were all over it using words like TAME and EXPLOIT.
If you think Trump isn’t hacked off then you need to read the thread again about the Farage tweet.

Good luck with that, Tory elites. The entire GOP establishment, with all their collective political experience, wasn`t able to exploit Trump`s supposed inexperience.
