A federal grand jury indicted former Gov. Cuomo aide Joseph Percoco Tuesday for allegedly hustling upstate companies that wanted profitable government contracts, prosecutors said.
The feds charged Percoco — Cuomo's ex-executive secretary and campaign manager — with six corruption counts in September.
Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara charged seven others in relation to the pay-to-play plot, whom a grand jury also indicted.
They include the onetime honcho of State University of New York Polytchnic Institute, as well as six execs from prominent Upstate firms.
Todd Howe, another Cuomo confidant-turned-lobbyist, secretly copped to corruption charges two days before cops collared Percoco — and said during his plea hearing he had been working with the feds since June.
The 80-page criminal complaint in September revealed Percoco's alleged dirty dealings reached the highest levels of Cuomo's administration. . .

A close relative of mine went to college with cuomo and later worked with him on mario cuomos staff when he was the gov. He left that job because he said Andrew was as corrupt as they come....

I ‘heard’ when I lived in PA that Mario had some mob connections, don’t know, never researched it, but I bet Rudy would know...

Seven charged in a pay-to-play plot. Hmmm...”pay-to-play”...has a vaguely familiar ring to it...where have I heard that recently?
Wherever I heard it, I’m sure nobody is above the law and all corrupt politicians enriching themselves through their offices will be held to account.

I talked to reporters working on the story at the NY Post about his shenanigans when he was running H.E.L.P.
His luck is about to run out.

I wonder if I ran for office (which I would NEVER DO), if all the folk in my family involved with or close friends with mafiosi would have been harassed by feds.
That’s enough of a reason right there to not run. I think that was more Cuomo’s reason.
I didn’t condone what they did, but I’m not going to draw attention to my own family and have their offspring humiliated.
