Donald Trump spent the presidential campaign promising to kick me and other undocumented immigrants out of the country. Now a federal database created to protect those of us who arrived as children could help him do just that.
More than 800,000 undocumented immigrants who were brought here as kids, myself included, have willingly handed over our personal information to the federal government as part of a program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The program, started by President Obama through executive action in 2012, was supposed to temporarily shield us from deportation and give us temporary employment authorization.
When I applied for the temporary status in 2013, I had to provide U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) with every detail of my personal information school records, bank accounts, my original Argentine passport and birth certificate and more, along with my address and every location Id lived for the last 20 years. I included a check for $465 and went to a USCIS office near me in Miami to have my fingerprints and photograph taken. Since then, I have completed an application for renewal twice, with updates on my current address, everywhere Ive lived since my previous application, and my current income. I received my most recent renewal just last month.
If Trump wants to use it to find undocumented immigrants, the Department of Homeland Securitys database of our addresses, fingerprints, employers and more could easily become a weapon instead of a shield. The database likely also includes information on thousands of Dreamers who applied and were denied for failing to pass a criminal background check or because they didnt have sufficient evidence of continuous residence in the U.S. since June 2007, which is one of the guidelines for eligibility....

“Don’t let Trump get the database?”
“Why not?”, I ask.
A little bit of reprogramming and that list should fold very nicely into some airline’s booking software for upcoming flights back to your home country.....
Now maybe they might have an inkling as to why we don’t want gun registration lists.
“How to Serve Man”
IT’S A COOKBOOK!!
Steve Wozniak got in for the bargain price of $5,000,000.00.
To The Author:
I appreciate that you've got a case of "Montezuma's Revenge" over the fact that Trump is headed for the White House. My bowels would be water if I were living illegally, as a criminal, in a foreign country. That must weigh on you mightily.
I only wonder what kind of man would want that legacy as a gift for his family?
As to that outfit you work for... "Define America?" We already defined America when we codified the Bill Of Rights and the U. S. Constitution. Get on board, or get the eff out.

“Julian, um, gotaminuite?”
Too bad. Sooooo sad
But not Muslims apparently.
So the children of a person who steals a car or stays in a house long after being evicted and not paying rent should be allowed to keep possession just because giving it back would be a hardship for them?
Wellif they don’t getit you have obviously shown them where you are.
If there’s a database, that means you’re documented, not undocumented.
And you’re here illegally.
There’s a few local neighborhoods where such types brazenly operate I’m sure ICE is very aware of.
We even post their mugshots online for anyone to peruse.
I'm stunned. (not)
Don't cry for me . . .
Well, that was pretty stupid. Hey, I broke the law! Put me in the law-breaker's database! Sucks to be you!!
