DOJ Fines Denver Sheriff Dept For Only Hiring U.S. Citizens for Deputy Positions
Law Newz ^ | 11/22/2016 | Rachel Stockman

The Justice Department reached a settlement this week with the Denver Sheriff Department, after they allegedly discriminated against work-authorized immigrants by only considering the applications of U.S. citizens.

“The Denver Sheriff Department discriminated based on citizenship status by requiring applicants for deputy sheriff positions to be U.S. citizens and publishing job postings with U.S. citizenship requirements, in violation of the INA (Immigration and Nationality Act),” a statement from the DOJ reads.  INA prohibits employers from limiting jobs to U.S. citizens (except where they are required to do so by law).

This should be a requirement because government (DSS regulations) say that found classified documents can be turned over to LE. That means that LE has to be CITIZENS.

If this was about a police jail where a person of color was held and they died...it would be on ALL 3 MSM

Can Trump’s DOJ indict those in Obama’s Do(in)J for bastardizing laws? I will really cook up a BIG batch of popcorn if that can be done!

This is how the drug cartels and Islamic terrorists can infiltrate police departments (for those with “clean” backgrounds, i.e. unknown real affiliations by the police).

I once exposed a Trotskyite communist in DC who got on the staff of the Washington Star without disclosing that his party was suing the DC police over surveillance.

And he had the police beat, but not for long. Another former undercover agent and I physically id’ed him and then I wrote a story about it. The paper gave him the choice of either writing for them or for the communist paper. He chose the communist paper, The Militant, and his major writing career went down the toilet.

However, he was close to getting police operational tactics information.

Eternal vigilance is the price of peace.

While it may lawfully apply to State Actors, such as law enforcement, there is no delegated power for this federal statute with respect to any private individual or entity.

Civil rights do not merit constitutional wrongs.

The Trump DOJ needs to investigate, indict, and prosecute Traitorobama’s DOJ.

On Jan 21st, Trump’s new Justice Dep’t simply says “nevermind” on that settlement. Problem solved.

Nonsense, we must be flexible with a nuanced policy.

As far as I’m concerned nuance is now a curse word.

Don’t pay it. Sheriffs are the most powerful law enforcement officials in this country as they are elected by the people. The Feds have no power over them. When they come to collect, lock them all up and put them in the county jail with the most violent prisoners for a night. Then mess up the paperwork and keep them there for a few days. Hell, keep them there until Jan 21, 2017.

There was a story a while back where folks, somewhere in New Mexico, were going to do a controlled burn in the forest around the town. Feds showed up and threatened everyone. Sheriff showed up and threatened the Feds. The Feds left. Controlled burn was done.
