Hollywood Latinos ‘Devastated’ and Even Bedridden as Trump Era Beckons

Yannina Diaz gave birth to her son soon after President Obama’s election, and thought the world had changed. But it changed for her again when Donald Trump was elected.
“Now I fear for my child and I fear for myself,” said Diaz, publicity director at the Jim Henson Company. “That he will have the same obstacles I did.”
Few in Hollywood were happy about Donald Trump’s victory. But for entertainment-industry Latinos like Diaz, it was especially painful to see Trump win ? especially after he said early in his campaign that many Mexicans who come to the United States bring crime and drugs, and are “rapists.”
Diaz said that when she recounted her fears to one of her non-Latino colleagues, “She broke down in tears. She knows her children don’t face the same obstacles.”
Reaching out to Hollywood Latinos for their stories, TheWrap heard of several at studios and agencies who were so disappointed after Trump’s win that they didn’t make it into work.
“I was in bed for almost two days after this election,” Hillary Clinton supporter actress Eva Longoria told “Extra” host Mario Lopez. She took to Instagram the day after the election to share that she had a “broken heart.”

Now many of them, including my circle of Latino family and friends have made a point to go around spoon fed media and my wife is a FReeper lurker so she knows the truth. Another good buddy I have changed over a decade ago stating he could not reconcile with the left because they acted against every tenant of his faith. He has now become one of the most conservative Latinos I know of anywhere and fights to educate people on conservative principals. Our families follow these examples.
However the problem remains with reaching out with a competing message within the Latin community. If you read their papers or watch their shows, there is only the message that basically conservatives hate all Latinos and they are the devil. It is worse than you would imagine.
Until we get some penetration into that area we are always going to have this overwhelming and unnecessary resistance to conservative candidates. This despite the fact that the reason that most Latinos who want to work immigrate here is for the bounties of conservative policy. They just don't know it due to the leftist propaganda they are bombarded with.

There was, once. Or so I thought.
Michael was two things (well, really three because he was also a fraud): he was a conservative radio host. And he was a movie critic. I used to listen to him for both purposes.
And then I noticed that his reviews didn't differ from the reviews of your average lefty like ebert. And then I noticed that he wasn't truly a conservative, but rather a poseur - a pretender to conservationism, mouthing the words, all for the paycheck.
And then the 2016 election came along and I noticed that he had shed even the pretense of conservatism and had become the thing he used to rail against.
So yea - there should be a conservative website that reviews movies. ;'}

Considering that Hispanics passed blacks in numbers in 2000, I’d think the TV diversity would reflect that; then again, it is much easier to control them with Univision in a foreign language...
Never heard of Yannina. Her picture means nothing. Can’t say I care one wit about her.
Can’t stand Longoria. She was in bed because she didn’t have a job to go to. Or she was there with her significant other. Or she’s a big fat liar.
The snowflakes need to be taught not to believe what they see on TV. It’s designed to indoctrinate.
That’s right; I believe some of them just learned that the hard way. Also, these attempts to portray all young people as anti-Trump are absurd; plenty of them saw very clearly that they had no economic future under four more years of Obamunism. The ones whining with signs seem caught up in gender, environmental, or other matters than in actually running a country.
A guy named James Bowman has or had one. He was the Mikey of reviewers, though: he hated everything.
MAN Trump cleared all of the frauds out of the woodwork and I’ve been surprised by quite a few, I will admit.
Too much of a risk seeing movies these days. There could be a fruit in the first five minutes and he/she could be the main character!
Go back to Meh-Hee-Co, then, I’m sure you’ll be safe there.
