To the Times and Mooshelle’s designer who won’t “dress” Melania (and wasn’t asked, thank goodness), I say: Await the shock and awe.
There is plenty of media and paparazzi that will obsess over what Melania wears, and every outfit that is available off the rack will sell out.
I predict they will not be able to resist covering literally a MODEL First Lady.

Everyone get ready. The lying media wants to pay back Trump to totally exposing their bias and collusive corruption for the past 17 months.

Just like this election, the media will attempt to discredit, slander, malign and undermine everything the Trump Administration does and says. This is going to change, and eventually, they’ll be held to more stringent liability laws, but this will take time.

Melania Trump could go into K-Mart, buy a cotton dress off the rack, and while wearing it, would exude more grace and style that most other women could at a high society gala opening.

Melania Trump makes the clothes look so much better than they may be on most anybody else. There is an innate fashion sense that cannot be instilled even with all the indoctrination and training in haute culture that is available only in the most exclusive venues.

And she has good taste in clothes, too.

There are few things I worry about less, than whether or not some “designer” will “dress” Melania Trump.

Somehow I think she, and all of us, will get by.

Just one more reason why majors in Journalism like Woman Studies or Sexual Identity studies are waste of time and student loans, not to mention the parents who shuv their kids off to college while thinking they will learn something.

The above is good example of a run-on sentence that I doubt the students of higher education even know what it is. I'd bet that 1 our of 3 won't recognize it nor see the misspelling of shuv. The correct phrasing and punctuation is below:

This is just one more reason why majoring in Journalism, Women's Studies, or Sexual Identity Studies are a waste of time. Student loans in such studies are also a waste of funds. Parents shove their kids off to college while thinking they will learn something.

I've watched Jay Leno's "Jay Walking" segments and "Water's World" segments questioning our youth on the street. I was astounded by the answers given so many times regarding simple questions. Most were college students. I knew the answers to many of those questions from grade school. Millennials are blindingly stupid.

If there is one Cabinet Department to be shut down, it should be the Department of Education. Their existence is only to serve their bureaucracy employees.

She quotes one designer saying the only unifying theme about the Trump wardrobes on election night was that they all had dressed in clothes that made them look “rich.” Well, that’s often the case when you are rich.

Reminds me of this:

[T]he left really defines the word “rich” as “anyone with anything the government wants to take.” John F. Di Leo http://illinoisreview.typepad.com/illinoisreview/2014/12/josef-stalin-and-the-problem-of-political-opposition.html

Hillary’s costume choice might also underscore, says Ms. Friedman, “the end of fashion’s seat at the power table.”

I'm sure fashion would have survived even had Hillary been elected. Granted, dictator chic would probably not have caught on widely, but there are women who still care about their appearance even if liberal politician women don't.

Friedman writes wistfully about how Michelle Obama delighted fashion people...

Um, yeah. For all the early gushing about Michelle's exquisite fashion sense, she did not start any kind of fashion trend. Did anyone besides Michelle ever wear boob belts?

Even worse: Melania’s wardrobe appears bought “off the rack, as opposed to one that she had worked with the designer to create.” Literally.

Hmm, I wonder what they would make of a creative woman who makes her own clothes? What if the First Lady's passion were to set up a sewing room and make her own clothes? If she is a Republican, the fashion press would probably portray her as so parochial that she is an embarrassment to the country.

I still remember that stupid twit in the Philly paper who condemned her white outfit as racist and then wrote a glowing commentary of Hillary’s white outfit a month later.

Michelle Obama would have saved herself both money and embarrassment if she had selected clothing from fashion magazines and not a personal ‘designer’.

She is tall and not overweight. She needs to wear very ‘quiet’ outfits; monochrome - to emphasize any good features and minimize the bad. That crazy patterned fabric just draws attention to her shortcomings.

Not all of us are as beautiful as Melania - but we are self-confident enough not to ‘over do’ or overpay.

“piñata” picture in post 3 is not real. you can see straps are the real dress, it was a orange brown floral dress if I remember correct.

There is no way anyone would maintain a straight face if she wore that bulls-eye dress to an important event LOL
