The US vice-president elect, Mike Pence, was booed by a theater audience when he attended the hit hip-hop musical Hamilton in New York on Friday night and then had a message about protecting diversity delivered to him from the stage after the curtain call.
On Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump accused theatre-goers of having harassed Pence, writing on Twitter: Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!
He also demanded an apology: The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

They're just a bunch of screaming New York faggots.
They have no connection whatsoever with mainstream Americans.
No, that would have been true in the past but a few years ago Ticketmaster caught on and raised the prices for the first 10 rows, etc. On popular shows Ticketmaster sets prices at what the traffic will bear. As I mentioned upthread I just looked at tickets for that show from Ticketmaster and can confirm. Those are the original not scalped prices.
Yes, I thought so too. As soon as he started reading his little lecture, there were boos.
The diversity is evident after the show. You know. The cleanup crew. The bathroom attendants.
Actually since you understand New York well, why not actually give a shout out to Donald’s folks... pay a visit to Trump Tower and leave a note? NOT being sarcastic.
That is a great idea, sue them for discrimination in casting. The shoe will bind when they are the ones wearing it.
I would sue. Its a matter of contract, not tort law.
A ticket for a play does not encompass personal abuse from the cast.Neatly avoids the public exemption aspect of defamation.
I would file immediately on Monday, and make the theater company shiver in its boots. That’s the way to get an apology or a few million for the coffers.
LOL! Good one.
I’d sue them on the ticket itself.
No fuss, no muss, a matter of contract law.
Funding for the Arts should take a good hit.
Yes, you may be right. I love socialist-loving B’way. I never had any interest in Hamilton. I hate rap. It’s bad enough I have a friend in The Color Purple and my husband keeps telling me we have to go see it. Yuck-o!
That’s audience participation art of a kind that was not anticipated, hmm?
I say naw, that would give leftydom a meme that they can kick back on from now until cows come home.
Revenge is best served cold.
One thing for sure. We need not worry about President Trump defending himself and his administration from leftist attacks.
Trump: cut funding to the National Endowment For The Arts.
It’s become farts rather than arts.
Revenge is best served cold.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I agree. Trump is pretty influential.
Maybe their lease will be pulled.
But this cannot go unanswered.
Pence got the cheap seats. They start at nearly $600 and then you have to add on tax, title, drive out, undercarriage sprayed, aisle usage fee and holding costs. Last time we went to the Paramount in San Antonio, they had the gall to add on an aisle usage fee. What the heck. Like we’re supposed to fly to the seats? Never again.
Why would Pence have gone? It’s a black Hamilton with a “message” which is neon flashing lights warning anyone with two brain cells to stay far, far away.
