The US vice-president elect, Mike Pence, was booed by a theater audience when he attended the hit hip-hop musical Hamilton in New York on Friday night and then had a message about protecting diversity delivered to him from the stage after the curtain call.
On Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump accused theatre-goers of having harassed Pence, writing on Twitter: Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!
He also demanded an apology: The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

It is hard to get staying power for a Broadway show. Other producers on Broadway and theater owners should have a talk with the powers that be of Hamilton...and tell them to knock it off.
He comes across that way to you. Not to me.
Per this thread...

...looks like it was the audience and an expletive-deleted cast member who delivered a “lecture”.
You must be a teenage girl. ;-)
Oh, the kids do! What’s fascinating is that when you’re close to the dancers, you see how strong and muscled they are - on stage they look like sylphs. And also how completely exhausted. I love ballet.
“Mainstream News: out
Hollywood: out
Broadway: out
NFL: out
NBA: out
Print Media: out”
You are correct. I gladly do without all but the occasional, and that is occasional, mainstream news. It’s imperative to know what lies the enemy is spewing.
Corrupt liberal elites don’t like us? Wear it like a badge of honor.
I agree. I think his response was fine, but should be the limit of his comments on the subject. There is nothing to be gained by getting in a pissing match with these asshats.
I don’t think the cast booed according to the media
(although they may have)
The cast lectured
So sick of that damn play and all of the smug nobodies in it.
The left turned it into the next “Rent”, so now the people in it think they are now “important”.
Les Misérables is superior anyway.
There were some pajama boy looking people in the crowd in some of those first few rows.
Sounds like audience and a cast member behaving badly.
For anyone else who’s curious...

I go to Broadway shows in Abington Virginia. I was part of a sold out house last Thursday that saw Chicago
1. Way to accept an apology graciously.
2. There was the huge image of the statement the musical's actor read from the stage followed by the small Takei tweet that ends with "ask yourself if that's true."
3. With no other information available tome, I interpreted the entirety of your post as Takei surprisingly disagreeing with the other actor's statement.
4. The statement was oversized and Takei's tweet was tiny by comparison. It seemed to me you were agreeing with the statement. Hence my response to you. It's called a misunderstanding.
Remember, in Marxist politics, EVERYTHING must be a political matter - sports, theater, religion, music - everything!
ANYTIME you see that @ symbol on a post on FR that looks like it involves a tweet don’t assume ANY of it is from the person who posted it.
Sometimes people comment on them and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they are able to put a break between the tweet and their comment..but sometimes it runs together etc...due to formatting.
Flaming someone on here because of a post that has that @ symbol requires a little investigation
Speaking of Les Misérables, this is my favorite meme of the entire election season: Deplorables Unite
The only thing I’ll remember from our exchange is your inability to graciously accept an apology. So I’ll try to avoid responding to your posts.
*shrug* “I’salright, I guess.”
Yes, they may be insulated to an extent by presales but the other shows will be impacted. A very self centered and childish display by people living in a glass house.
