Republican Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions could face a tough time getting confirmed as President-elect Donald Trump’s attorney general, as Democratic National Committee interim chairwoman Donna Brazile called on the senate Thursday to reject his nomination.
“Mr. Trump’s choice of Sen. Sessions for Attorney General is deeply troubling,” Brazile said in a statement.

The left is going to say this about every Trump appointment.
The only way Session does NOT get confirmed is if a Republican decides to go against his (or her) party. That will be pretty difficult during the first 100 days.
You Democrats (Harry Reid) set the 51 vote rule on nominations (nuclear option) and Democrats can not stop the confirmation as you don't have the votes.
Go to your corner, look up 'petard', and pout quietly.

I'd think it's a talking point to keep US Senators from states where they could lose in line. What a campaign talking point, if they agree with the woman who pilfered debate questions.
I’d worry too if I’d committed a bunch of felonies and they put a man of strong justice and conviction in office.

About now I’m wondering if the dems remember introducing the nuclear option into the senate rules a few years ago.
My advice to them is to put on a brave face, bend over and to bring their own lube.
