Donald Trump has just reportedly agreed to settle several lawsuits over his Trump University real estate seminars.
Reuters is reporting Trump settled up just as the judge in the case was supposed to rule on a request by Trump's lawyer to delay the trial until after Trump's inauguration in January.
The judge, Gonzalo Curiel, is the man Trump said was too biased to hear the case because he has Mexican heritage.

That’s a lot of money, and I know Trump doesn’t like settling if he believes the charges are false. However, this is a good thing. The last thing Trump needs is the media circus that would happen if he had to testify. The media would be gleeful. Trump doesn’t need to waste political capital because of this and to waste valuable time he can be using to work on his transition and all the things he wants to get accomplished.

Agree to the settlement with the stipulation that you're not acknowledging any wrongdoing. And usually these out of court settlements also include language precluding parties from disclosing the terms ($$$) of the settlement.
Someone just could not keep it quiet.
Trump will not be able to refute any false information to keep his side of agreement.

I hope it's true because I was NOT happy with the manner the news about the upcoming "trial" was being reported here in San Diego.
Very prejudicial against President-Elect Trump.

Yeah, Jack Kennedy settled a suit after getting elected. A suit is too debilitating for a President.

This stupid matter was already revving up for a Big Top Circus event here in San Diego. A neighbor of mine who works at the Courthouse told me about all the clown suits rentals and planned protests that she knew about. I hope this settlement is true.

I can relax now. I know I shouldn't listen to Facebook amateurs but a liberal friend had posted that Trump won't make it to the White House because he will be in jail for fraud over Trump University. Not!!!

If there is a gag clause, and these settlements usually have one, then why is it being reported how much the settlement is?
