In a complete turnaround from his previous position, President-elect Donald Trump is nearing a settlement of the fraud cases brought in New York and California involving his now defunct for-profit Trump University, the Daily News has learned.

Under the emerging deal being negotiated by Trump's lawyers, New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and the law firm that brought a class action lawsuit regarding Trump University in California, the president-elect will agree to pay between $20 million and $25 million to settle the matter, a source with knowledge of the situation said.

Trump didn’t lose. He judiciously settled without disclosure.

The Daily News should be banned from FR. They are filth. They are garbage.

True about filth and garbage.

But for many of us, FR is our primary go-to place for political news. So I, for one, appreciate seeing here what the leftist media is saying.

I don't think it serves us well to be "protected" from any MSM reports. One cannot defeat an enemy without be aware of what they are doing.

We are not snowflakes. We can handle it.

Dude, all you have to do is search “Gonzalo Curiel is anchor baby” to find many references about it.

Here is one:

You are wrong to say that anchor babies are automatic citizens. Liberals have twisted the meaning of born citizen.

There is a clause in the constitution that requires people born here to be under the jurisdiction of the county they are born in. Since these people are ILLEGALS, they by definition cannot be under jurisdiction of the county.

It sounds to me that you yourself are an anchor baby. Why protest so much?

I don’t care if you pay $35 or $35,000 for tuition——IF this isn’t what you can acconplish, drop the class & take your thoughts elsewhere for a career.

I attended Accounting classes 45 + years ago, and the drop out rate by 3 weeks into the classes was beyond 50%. Just because YOU decide to take some sort of training or another, there is NEVER any guarantee that YOU will be able to pass the course & to then be successful.

Too many people in the past 20 years want instant success & fame. Doesn’t work that way.

BTW- those classes were MY first exposure to ‘grading on the curve’. Had never heard of it before then. I was 29 & when I was in high school, we were graded on the 100% method.

Myself & 2 others got consistent grades of 98++ & WE became the curve. Lots of people mad at us. However, I finished all those classes with a 4.0 average. Still doing bookkeeping today—for 2 clients. One I have had for over 47 years & the other for over 42 years. I love those 2 guys & they are loyal to me.

Both his parents are illegal aliens living in the USA. They should ALL be deported especially the Mexican judge who is not a real American citizen despite being born here.

That is incorrect, though we might wish it to be so. And changing the law now will not affect him and others like him, being that ex-post facto laws are unconstitutional.

Cognitive thinking isn't one of your strong points, is it?

As Francisco d'Anconia would say, "check your premises." lol

Under current law, the Judge is a citizen of the US.

Under current custom, not law, the Judge is a citizen of the US.

The law you think exists does not in fact exist. Custom has ignored the actual law just like it is being ignore now.
