Like other new Russian armored vehicles, the Koalitsya-SV self-propelled gun was first seen in public during the May 9, 2015 8 military parade in Moscow. (photo by Vitaly Kuzmin)
I self propelled a gun one time. It kept jamming so I threw it about 50 feet. Does that count?
Looks like a tank with a real big gun on it.
Don't ask/offer .. it's long gone 5 or six years ago in a trade.
They’re building some MEAN WEAPONS, especially compared to the way our military is shriveling up. Kinda of nice to have a president who’s not hell-bent on making them use those weapons.
Nothing says, “Get off my lawn...”
Had a Romanian, no problems. It’s one gun I’d like to own gain...
It’s a self-propelled artillery piece, a more advanced counterpart to our Paladin system.
Self propelled guns are mobile artillery so it it really depends on the caliber. If you threw a .22 LR or a 9 mm, probably not. If you threw a .375 H&H or larger, then yeah. Maybe a .45-70 or something.
Sort of a robotized MSTA.
I remember as a boy in the 50s having a Revell Tank model that looked like this = A US Army self propelled howitzer that could throw and A-Bomb projectile..... Frankly all I remember is self-propelled howitzer.

From Wikipedia:
“Initial reports describe the main armament as a 2A88[7] 152 mm gun with a range of up to 70 kilometers using precision-guided rounds and up to 40 km with standard rounds that are currently used on Msta-S.[4][6] The claimed average rate of fire is around 16 rounds per minute,[8](15+)[9] with a maximum rate of 20 rounds per minute”
Wonder what the barrel life is on that thing at 16-20 RPM?
So, you’re saying size matters? ;-)
Gee... paint it different and dress the crewman different and it looks a lot like a Paladin.
There's a good reason for that. It IS a tank chassis with a real big gun on it.
To save costs, they are using a common chassis for the T-14 tank, and various other combat vehicles.
I THINK mine was Romanian, but I can't remember.
All I know is I could never pull off more than three or four rounds ... even slowly ... before jamming.
WHATEVER I had was a frustrating piece of jit !
Damn shame as AKs are usually stone reliable. My Bugarian AK47 has never misfired no matter what kind of ammo I use.
WOW!! What a rate of fire! Can you imagine facing something like that?
They were ordered not to take the SUV down side slopes while using Firestone tires.... wee bit top heavy...
