NEW YORK – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe became the first world leader to meet President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday, seeking reassurances over the future of U.S.-Japan security and trade relations.
Abe met with Trump in New York, where the incoming president is working on setting up an administration after his surprise election victory last week that has injected new uncertainty into old U.S. alliances.
"I do believe that without confidence between the two nations (the) alliance would never function in the future and (after) the outcome of today's discussion I am convinced Mr. Trump is a leader in whom I can have great confidence," Abe said following the meeting....

Oh gezzz, this is really going to anger these genuine “conservatives” who wanted yet another career professional politician at the helm. The irony, already Trump has done more to help this country than all of them, and he hasn’t even taken office.
It feels as a great weight has been lifted from the collective shoulders of America...they will fight him with all they have but they will fail, we have finally a strong leader with a big heart. So much for Ambassador Caroline Bouvier Kennedy’s great leadership. This nightmare is finally coming to an end and it’s been a long time in the making.
Notice that these leaders are going TO Donald, not the other way around. These countries want a strong America because they admire our heritage. No wonder Obama gets treated like a POS everywhere he goes.
They probably want to see the penthouse at Trump tower ;-)

Within 6 months, perhaps much less, I suspect that people will have no choice but to feel a difference. A "winning" culture. A feeling that we CAN accomplish great things.
Of course, there will be some kicking and dragging their heels, lamenting that Trump "isn't THEIR President."
I envision a speech in which those losers are told, "the country is winning again, but we're NOT going back to policies and psychology that brought us here. And those that insist that America isn't great can come along for the ride, but they've got to ride in back..."
