The face of defeat: A weary-looking Hillary Clinton makes her first appearance since her concession, and admits that 'coming here wasn't the easiest thing for me' and she 'wanted to curl up and never leave the house again'
Hillary Clinton attended the Children's Defense Fund's gala in Washington, D.C on Wednesday evening It was the failed presidential candidate's first public appearance since she conceded to Donald Trump a week ago She considered cancelling her speech, saying she 'wanted to curl up with a book or our dogs and never leave the house again' Said she drew inspiration from the organization's founder and her mentor Marian Wright Edelman, who introduced her as the 'people's president' Clinton also talked about her mother, Dorothy, who died before her daughter became the Democratic nominee for president She tip-toed around her opponent as she delivered her address blocks away from his recently opened hotel and his new home Donald Trump did not come up, though she appeared to make reference to him when she speculated about the nation's 'uncertain future' A weary-looking Hillary Clinton said Wednesday evening at her first public appearance since she conceded to Donald Trump that she considered cancelling her speech to the children's advocacy group but kept the commitment out of respect for her mentor.
'I will admit coming here tonight wasn't the easiest thing for me,' she said at the Children's Defense Fund's gala in Washington, D.C.
The failed presidential candidate added: 'There have been a few times this past week when all I wanted to do is just to curl up with a good book or our dogs and never leave the house again.'
One said they're still on payroll through the end of this week.

You know, if she knew she was going to be in front of some cameras, should could have at least spruced her self up.
The failed presidential candidate added: ‘There have been a few times this past week when all I wanted to do is just to curl up with a good book or our dogs and never leave the house again.’
Well, she has had time to think, and will have lots of time to think, about what comes next. Does she mount another campaign in 2020? Would the Democrats grease the skids for her again in 2020? Is her political career finished now? I can’t recall offhand, any general election losers in recent history, who came back to ever run for president again.
Been drinking herself to death every night since Tuesday with Huma holding her head up by the hair so she can throw up in the toilet.
Best election ever.
She’s almost 70, she’s entitled to look her age, but throughout the campaign she had professional hair/make up people to assure she looked 10-15 years younger. It is a shame in our image conscious world that people can’t just look like themselves.
My fav for 1st woman president would have been Jeane Kirkpatrick, who looked every day of her age, but who cared?
Nah, this is the real her. I bet it has been killing her to have to get gussied up the way she has. Now she can slip back into her pointedly shabby greasy earth mama radical look. For the first time since Bubba launched his career and she was forced to clean up.
My Mom will be 96 on Sunday and looks far more youthful & serene than Hillary. Must be because Mom never hurt anyone nor ever wished ill on anyone.
Richard Nixon did it.
The face of pure naked smirking evil.
Drugs alcohol and stress are not known to put the glow of youthfulness in your cheeks.
Great graphic.
Now we are beginning to see why she needed weeks in preparation for each debate, despite having the questions in advance - she needed the time for rejuvenation from her witch doctors to make her appear human.
There is something very wrong with her. The eyes, her face....creepy as if she just opened her eyes while in a morgue.
Still wearing purple I see.
The Official Color of Kool-Aid.
No more makeup from the undertaker and no more wigs. LOL she looks like the demon she is.
She's too old and not in the best of health now. 2020? No way!
Do you know me? I was going to be the next president! Twice!
