Well, she has had time to think, and will have lots of time to think, about what comes next. Does she mount another campaign in 2020? Would the Democrats grease the skids for her again in 2020? Is her political career finished now? I can’t recall offhand, any general election losers in recent history, who came back to ever run for president again.

William Jennings Bryan was the losing Democrat nominee THREE times. Nixon won in ‘68 after being defeated in ‘60.
At this point she is just hoping to salvage the Clinton Inc. influence peddling business. Seriously, how is Chelsea going to continue to live in the manner in which she is accustomed if they have no influence to sell?
Depends on the amount of blackmail material she has amassed on the leadership and how willing she is to use it. She must have used a fair amount of it this time, just to get the nomination.
If she is still alive, she will at least try it again.
