Kellyanne Conway, the manager of President-elect Donald Trump's campaign, visited both of the Washington transition headquarters Tuesday afternoon with a direct message that the new administration "will deliver change for the people."

Speaking at the provisional transition headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue and also the HQ set up by the General Services Administration, Conway first thanked transition aides and Trump organizers in Washington.

The longtime pollster also revealed that she became convinced that Trump would win when she and the businessman visited the Canfield Fair in Ohio's Mahoning Valley on Labor Day. She said that the crowd was so big at 85,000 that initially she Secret Service advised the entourage not to get out. But they did and the crowd welcomed Trump warmly.

"It was 86 degrees, and people had waited a long time. No question they were going to vote," she said, despite news reports that the crowd was smaller and lackluster."

“Secret Service advised the entourage not to get out. But they did and the crowd welcomed Trump warmly’

IIRC Hillary did do a few “drive bys” instead of making the effort.

Expand the uniparty?

I’d rather the PE stick a fork in it.

Yeah because she was only going to disappoint 3 people, and 100 opponents with signs saying, lock her up.

Kellyanne is a perfect example of Trump’s amazing talent for picking winners.

No mention of the establishment that I could see. I believe they mean the base of the GOP. That has been my goal, destroy the GOP establishment, but retain the party with more American natives, and legal immigrants who identify themselves as Americans, in it.

Hillary did do a few “drive bys”......

......and threw out the car window donation forms to the
Clinton Foundation, as her security detail yelled, "And do it now."

I’ve come to agree with George Washington. Political parties are a menace. FWIW, I’d concentrate on expanding the number of pols who’d vote with him on his issues irregardless of party. Vote with him, you’d have his seal of approval. Vote against him and you’re toast. To Hades with party affiliation.

I agree but if he guts it like the old post office and completely over hauls it...I would be ok with that.

Take 25% of black Americans who are sick of the twisted Democrat policies, and the Dems are a cooked goose.

If the party becomes more vibrant without a small group taking complete control then there are advantages. It is when a party is controlled by a rather small cabal of players that it becomes stale and ineffective. That had become the problem with the Republican Party. Time for new blood at the top, and to keep changing that blood with new blood more regularly. Not so much for the sake of the party, but for the sake of the nation.

Uh, given the fact that he won the election without millions of limp-wristed GOPe types across the country, hasn’t he already demonstrated this?

Here are a couple of comments from a cleveland.com article from 9/15. The basic message was that he disrespected their traditions and disappointed the crowds. Somehow I doubt it

CANFIELD, Ohio –Donald Trump supporters tried to turn the Canfield Fair – a Youngstown-area Labor Day tradition – into a campaign rally on Monday.

Fueled by the news that the Republican presidential candidate planned to stop at the fair, Trump supporters swarmed the Mahoning County Republican Party booth with the hope that the candidate would stop there.

:

Though many were disappointed by his brief appearance, they still chanted, "Trump, Trump, Trump."

Hillary made a huuuuuge mistake. She just did fundraisers...and took much too much "We, the People" time off.

Then all of a sudden....she realized she forgot about the people themselves and in the FINAL two weeks....started the huge get out the vote campaign. Alas....she forgot that people vote...not banks....

Do you have contact with your local and state party people? It’s not just the national party people who are corrupt, it’s all the way down to the state and local level. The entire political party system is corrupt. And, to my mind, should just be made irrelevant. Cast votes based on positions, not on parties.

Nice idea...good intended outcomes, but will never have a lasting effect till the 17th Amendment is Repealed. Our Founding Fathers knew this....Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt and others birthed the Uniparty we are dealing with today...

Hes already changing it to where the GOPe is having concerns - as he remodels it, it makes sense to turn it into a well-oiled machine for the People. They have floundered forever against a coordinated machine of the Left and it's time that we met them on equal footing.
