Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) — a.k.a. “Lyin’ Ted” — was spotted visiting Trump Tower on Tuesday...

A Cruz spokeswoman released a statement about the visit.

She said Cruz, who ultimately backed Trump, was there visiting with President-elect Donald Trump to help him achieve his goal: to “drain the swamp...”

//Why do this Cruz supporters hang on so tenaciously ? Because they are Evangelicals, and when a Pol has a little fire& brimstone and wear it on their sleeve, these people won’t let go for nothing. //

Umm..don’t lump us all in with the crazies. Many Evangelicals like myself do not support Cruz. I do not like or trust anyone who runs the “I’m a Christian vote for me” campaign because it is using (misusing) the name of Christ for political gain.

Also, I know several non Evangelicals who are still in love with Cruz so its not just the EVs who hang on.

Thanks for agreeing with the prayer for our Pres Elect, and also I agree with what you wrote about Cruz, especially with the “I’m a Christian vote for me” misuse of Christ’s name for political gain! GBU

Yeah, maybe it’s a head fake to show Cruz how Cruz lies and teach him a lesson that no one would know about besides Cruz.

Trump could keep totally quiet about the “AG” tidbit except to Cruz, then sit back to see how long Cruz could keep his mouth shut. When the tidbit is world news a few hours later, Trump could tell him “That’s too bad. You would’ve made a nice SC Justice or AG.”

Ok, I’m stretching here. I just can’t believe that Trump could actually be serious about letting Snake Cruz have any authority in DC. We’re supposed to be DRAINING the swamp, not letting pit vipers loose in it.

//No trust in a man to be honest who has never been proven to have told one lie? That makes no sense.//

What makes no sense is someone still claiming he hasn’t lied. He has lied and ran a dirty campaign. What makes no sense is people still defending him.

It bothers me too. I am hoping Ted is trying to get an appointment and praying Trump shows him the door. I can see Trump thinking that giving Cruz an appointment would bring some of the Cruz supporters under the umbrella but a) we don’t need them and b) it would tick off a lot of his base who can’t stand Cruz (like me).

Giving Cruz a prominent position in his administration would take the wind out of our sails before we even leave the harbor.

I truly hope that Donald does not do it.

Trump will knock the wind out of millions of his most loyal supporters if he does this.

So you believe Trump made himself rich by using eminent domain? Cruz said Trump did just that. But since, in fact, Trump never made one penny from using eminent domain, it was a big, fat, nasty, stinking, jerkish, disgusting, shameless lie.

I agree, I hope it doesn’t happen, but my statement is the only reasoning I could see it happen. I really really hate Cruz - always have and have always seen through him.

Cruz needs to just go away.

I voted for the man because I trust his judgement. I STILL trust his judgement. Whomever Trump picks for any post will be more than OK with me.

Trump would be insane to appoint Cruz as AG. You weren’t serious I hope?

Yes totally serious my FRiend. Either AG or one of the Justices would be a perfect pick for the Honorable Senator Ted Cruz from Texas

#Texit

And who would you have, Chris Chrispi or Rudy.

I believe Trump has already figured Bridge man out and gave him the boot. He has now figured out that he had Ted all wrong (more MSM stuff) and smeared the wrong fellow.

You are not thinking Trump is making a BAD decision are you?

I’m sure it’s been said in this thread all ready, but thus the sellout is complete. Grovel away Teddy....

someone’s being either a “troll” or an “idolator” it looks like.

the clueless is like on the level of the architect of obamacare who is STILL saying that hundreds of company presidents can’t be right about what an abusive mess it is.

Trump believes in rehab... why else would he have made such a Herculean effort to become president? The whole land needs rehab.

If Trump thinks he can rehab Ted, I’m willing to watch and wait. Forgiving Ted, fine. Excusing Ted, making cover-up tales and lying on his behalf, never.

“Spotted in Trump Tower”

Wearing a leopard-print lycra leotard or a polka-dot 3-piece suit?

Cruz must have finally woken up and realized it didn’t really count when Glenn Beck swore him in on a compass. :-)

Perhaps Ted's appearance at Trump Towers ois the reason that the family 'snuck out' to dinner, leaving the 'poor, ink-stained journalists agents provocateur' to stare hungrily at their meal through the windows! ("Media freaks out when Trump goes to dinner without them")
