“It’s law,” he said in an interview with CBS’ ‘60 Minutes’ that aired Sunday. “It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done.” “These cases have gone to the Supreme Court. They’ve been settled. And I’m – I’m fine with that,” he added.

Obama publicly opposed homosexual marriage eight years ago. It was only four years ago he claimed his position was “evolving” on the issue.

Hopefully, Trump’s view will also “evolve”.

No civilization can survive an acceptance of homosexual sex as normative. It has ALWAYS led to the collapse of nations that tolerated it. It leads to greater and greater degeneracy.

There is a chance a SCOTUS justice would overturn Roe but keep same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage at least has some basis in stretching the “equal protection” clause of the 14th. But even Ginsburg admitted the Roe decision had no basis in the Constitution whatsoever.

One thing I’ve never understood is the businesses being sued for refusing to participate in gay marriage. Like the baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple. The court said bakers ‘have’ to bake wedding cakes for gays.

How does that not violate the 13th Amendment against indentured servitude?

At one time, Dred Scott settled the issue of whether or not black folks were property or persons under the law.

IMHo, Trump is being crazy like a fox on this one.

I honestly don't understand why people care.

Because it's a deliberate attack on the Christian concept of marriage.

When something is made legal, it's one step closer to being mandatory. The Left has gained the grounds to force Christians to carry out homosexual 'marriages'. They were one Supreme Court judge away from being able to start a pogrom.

If Hillary had got in, we would all be relearning the history of the Diocletian persecution right about now.

The thing to do is to start using the expression “Christian marriage”, as distinct from marriage.

That way the gaystapo will eventually discover they’ve stolen a term that we’re no longer using. They’ll be holding an empty bag.

As long as religious institutions are not required to perform gay weddings against their will, I don’t really care about that subject.

That's where I stand. Once they decided to go after Churches, they lost all my former sympathy. In fact, it's growing into a rather deep hatred, now.

It ain’t up to him to decide - except for his SCOTUS picks, which CAN undo the Kennedy hissy fit past.

He has a finite amount of political capital, and he needs to think about what he’s going to spend it on. Gay marriage just isn’t something to get involved in during his first year. Getting his chosen Court nominees confirmed is what he and we should stay focused on.

He has more important fish to fry than whether or not folks who have abnormal sex drives can “get married”. I’m glad he’s going after abortion and a thousand other things that are much more important to our way of life.

Planned Parenthood is going to be un-funded if they perform abortions, pro-life justices will be appointed to the Surpeme Court. I do think Trump is socially conservative on this issue and Mike Pence is probably the biggest pro-lifer ever on the ticket. Pence has done a lot in this area.

I think part of Trump’s agenda is that in the first days, he will put the “Mexico City Amendment” back in effect and that means, no US funds go to fund abortions overseas.

Bush put it back in affect after Clinton, Obama took it out. Now, it will be back in affect with Trump.
